Nice 5 by Rory on 17.  He was tugging his wedges a bit last week, and then on the playoff hole he hung it out to the right.  I guess everyone has to have a flaw.  Too bad he couldn't have teed it back in the 16th fairway and hit to the 17th green with a 3-wood--he'd probably have holed it.

I heard about Angel's 9 on 17 - have to watch it this evening.  Poor guy.

I didn`t see him putt, but he must have played hockey on the green as he only had 2 balls in the water and was lying 5 about 20 feet away...the live at 17 commentators said they weren`t sure what he was going to make, but they knew it would be quick whatever it was.

I think he hit 3 in the water. One off the tee and two from the drop area, plus 2 putts = 9.

Maybe I blinked and missed one

When I was watching live it seemed like he only hit one in the water from the drop zone and ended up with a 7... then after he withdrew they claimed a 9... Thought maybe it was for the TV but I'm sure they aren't lying and I just missed one...

I'm that Rory and Phil aren't tearing this up! Also, if Westwood could putt a little bit better, he'd be world #1 I believe

If Rory misses the cut, has he all of a sudden lost his game? Will he fall into the doldrums of professional golf?! HE MAY NEVER MAKE A CUT AGAIN!

Just shows how tough this game is and some courses just don't set up for certain players that well. About time the golf media picked up on that...

Ya surprising about Rory, but it's a tough game on a tough course.

In his interview after his round yesterday, he said some of the lines off the tees just don't set up good for him, so he's feeling uncomfortatable tee shots.

I think Phil is playing pretty solid, I have a feeling he's gonna have a nice round today. The afternoon players are gonna have a tough time when the greens start getting crusty in the afternoon.

Great point. I was thinking something similar after the Masters.  Remove the scores from the articles and no one would've guessed Tiger and Rory finished with the same number of strokes...

I knew this would happen with Rory... Everytime I bet on him to win he does poorly.  This will be 3 straight tournaments.  I have learned my lesson, no more betting on Rory!

I would probably want to punch O'Hern if I was playing with him.....

The ball seems to be rolling well, but those are about the worst looking greens I've ever seen.

??????????

You think that grass is supposed to be a uniform colour?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Who would've thunk it?  I should have known.  Rory does not have a good record at the Player's.  He seems to struggle at TPC Sawgrass.

I too bet on him for Masters and the Player's.  And Rory is no where to be found on the leader board.  Ugh!

Fickle game...its possible that none of the top 4 from last week will see the weekend although I wouldn`t be surprised if Fowler or Simpson picks it up a bit.

T75 20 16 USA Rickie Fowler 1 5 1 color info 72

DNS 33 USA D.A. Points color

T113 58 3 NIR Rory McIlroy 4 F* 4 color info 72 76 148

T75 3 28 USA Webb Simpson 1 6 E color info 73

not only week to week- Poulter shoots 65 yesterday and starts today +5 after 6.

Wind seems to be picking up...might help the guys finished at +1
