Soon? Come on. Tiger won five times twonyears ago; Rory has won twice this year alone. Nike is doing fine.

And yet they still sell Hogan irons Jack Nicklaus goods.

Great POV piece from a reporter who followed Woods, pretty much w/no one around, for a smattering of holes. What it's like to follow a Tiger Woods practice round on an empty course http://mweb.cbssports.com/golf/eye-on-golf/25267514/what-its-like-to-follow-a-tiger-woods-practice-round-on-an-empty-course

I thought Brandel was referring to A1-A4. So the head drop in the backswing. No?

He switches around. Sometimes his criticism is about the backswing, sometimes through swing. Also, regardless, he's wrong. Plenty of good players lowered in their backswing, and almost all good players lower in the downswing.

Based on the videos available out there and my layman's reading of them, Woods drops his head more than McIlroy on the backswing. They both drop about the same on the downswing. So the vids verify Chamblee on one of his points.

Questions of Focus Hover Over Tiger Woods [NYT]

Quote:
Somewhere in all the talk about Woods’s myriad business and philanthropic ventures — not to mention his responsibilities as a divorced father of two young children — there were questions about his dissolving golf game.

With a roomful of reporters cognizant that Woods has not won a PGA Tour event in two years and has missed the cut or withdrawn in nearly half of the tournaments he has entered this season, he was asked, “What’s the one thing you think could be holding you back right now?”

I haven't heard anything about this yet, but, is it a possibility that tiger could be a captain's pick in the President's cup?

He'd have to win next week for it to even be a possibility.

Although I read some articles by media journalist, I usually don't give many a second glance. I don't care much for today's media folks. However I read this one, and thought it was a good read, so I posted it here. No real opinion on what the guy wrote, but it is worth sharing.

Well-written article. On the other hand, the commenters over there are complete jabronis. On the whole, notwithstanding a few boneheads, TST has a far stronger class of human being commenters than TGC.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
