I hope Justin Rose doesn't get penalised after the possible ball move on the 18th. Did anyone see a good replay?! The commentator on Sky said it definitely did move but I couldn't see it? VERY harsh if he does.

I haven't been watching golf lately, what's the new logo on the bottom right supposed to represent. The GOLF part.

It's the new NBC/Golf Channel hybrid logo thing.

Johnny Miller did too, but I don't know what he was seeing ... On my (pretty decent) tv it was zap ruder like quality video. No way to tell IMO.

A mixture of good fortune & great recovery play over the last few holes there. Very impressive.

Speith is bogey-free thru 54 holes in his first ever Players Championship. Unbelievable. If he doesn't win a US Open in the next 3 years I'll drink a dozen beers.

And when he does win one you'll celebrate with a 12-pack?? :-P

It's funny because the other day I was actually wondering how many players can make it through this entire tournament without dumping one in the water.  I presume that he hasn't done that yet?  Obviously its no guarantee because these guys can still make pars out of the water sometimes, but I assume it's likely.

I wonder if he's the only one?

I guess I win regardless. :-) Speith's last six holes were impressive. He drove it like @kyle Anthony and still managed five pars and a birdie.

Yeah, it was impressive.  I can't believe that only one guy put it in the water on 17 today, especially considering how many guys I saw land it within a yard or two of the front edge of the island.

On a relatively calm day, it's just a 120-yard shot to a relatively large green.

Yeah, I noticed that from the camera behind the tee.  That green looks huge.  If you could block out that blue stuff around it - Harry Vardon in Greatest Game Ever Played style - I think it would be quite easy. ;)

The green is large. Honestly it isn't that imposing of a shot. I think the tee shot on 18 is much scarier than the tee shot on 17.

I suppose in the water on a par-5 and still making par is possible. I remember a few times in the past various players - Jose Coceres and Fred Couples come to mind - making par on #17 after hitting their first shot in the water.

Yep. Huge green. I've played it twice. Dunked it once, lipped out a 10 foot birdie the second time. Really, no reason for someone with their name on their bag to rinse a ball there!
Justin Rose receives two-stroke penalty at Players on Saturday.
I was REALLY surprised that he didn't wait for a ruling there. Dumb!

Yeah.  Don't think the word "scary" does it justice.  Terrifying is probably a tad more appropriate. ;)
