It's a U.S. holiday, but anyone can participate.

I'm thankful for:

  • All the usual stuff. Health, family, happiness, etc. I'll assume everyone will list that, so I'll list mostly the other stuff. :)
  • I'm thankful that so many people, and so many well-known people, have seen fit to buy my book and say so many good things about it.
  • I'm thankful for almost all of the members here. ;-)
  • I'm thankful when people embed videos, don't type entire responses indented in a quote block, search before starting the 237th version of the same old thread, and when people multi-quote properly. :D
  • I'm thankful for the number of actual, honest-to-goodness friends I have made through the site.
  • I'm thankful for golf in general. Seriously, what a ****ed up stupid game we all care so much about…
  • I'm thankful that I live in the U.S. As lousy as things can seem sometimes, it's still a pretty great place to live.
  • I'm thankful for Mike, for yet another year of TST, and for our upcoming 10th anniversary here on the forum.

I am thankful for my family. It never ceases to amaze me how forgiving children can be.

I'm thankful for the first job I've ever loved. I'm also thankful for all my family, but especially to have 2 of my grandparents still around for another year even though my grandfather has terminal cancer. I'm thankful to have found a great forum with people I enjoy interacting with after more years than I care to admit to being on the internet.

That doesn't sound like a lot, but it's everything to me.

List of things I'm thankful for:

Family. Had some ups and downs like any other year, but they're always there as support. We had a baby girl earlier this year, too.
This website, for the people who I consider my friends who I otherwise wouldn't have ever known, the vast amount of knowledge I've learned here (not just about golf), and of course giving me the tools to improve my game.
Mike and Erik, for giving me the opportunity to be a staff member and give back to the community in a meaningful way, and for their wealth of golf knowledge and willingness to share it.
Finally getting a job that I can build a future with.
Having the good fortune to consider my golf game as one of the bigger problems in my life. It's not always easy, but life could be sooooo much worse.
Florida vacations, because I get to golf in December :-P
I'm thankful for:

  • My family's heath and security.
  • The internet. It's been able to connect me with a lot of great people, from friends I've made on this site to several instructors across the country that I've been able to learn and share information with.
  • Dave Wedzik for creating Golf Evolution, it's a privilege to be part of the team.
  • Erik for starting TST, being a great friend, business partner and for his science/math expertise.
  • That the information Erik and I share is well received (most of the time ;-) ) and that it helps golfers shoot lower scores.

My list is too long, but here are some of the top ones.

Thankful for surviving long enough to be old and yet still in pretty good health.

Thankful for my family

Thankful for being born into a family that taught me how to take care of myself, being born with the tools to that, and for the wisdom to know I should share my success with those not born with the tools or the family support I was.

Given the above I am also thankful for being a USA citizen and having the opportunities I have had.  I have done a lot of traveling and know this isn't true for most of the world and I am grateful for the USA, even if it isn't perfect it is the best I've seen anywhere I have been.

:-D

I'm thankful for God, family, and friends in that order. It's corny perhaps, but I can't imagine life without them.

I'm thankful to have gotten through Leukemia and a Bone Marrow transplant (2011) and to still be here enjoying life (ten years ago I was given three to five years to live).

And I'm really thankful for all the friends and family that supported and loved me through the process, I've seen so many people at their best.

And I'm really thankful for all the nurses that cared for me and the nursing profession in general.  Nurses rock.

Public service announcement, join the Bone Marrow registry.  And, they don't drill holes in bones anymore, that was so 30 years ago.  Now, the donors take a medication for a week, and then they take the over supply of bone marrow stem cells out of your blood.  Not that different than giving blood.  Give the gift of life.

And I'm thankful for all those on the Bone Marrow registry.

Peace out.

I'm thankful for my loving family and friends. I'm thankful for being healthy and able to play this crazy yet wonderful game that is golf. I'm thankful for having a stable job I'm thankful for finding this forum years ago, I've made some great friends here and the knowledge I've learned about this great game. I'm thankful for living in the USA, i know we have our problems, but it's still the best place in the world by a long way. I'm thankful Erik and Golf Evolution for creating this forum and being dedicated to keeping it the premier place for golfers to come together on the Internet.

    • Day 211: putting work today on my mat. Worked on some feels to get my head to move less. Contact was improving.
    • Day 9: 2/15/2025 Spent several 5-10 minutes sessions today working on what I learned from Yoda yesterday. Pretty much a new priority piece.
    • Day 25 (15 Feb 25) - A little background on today’s drill session.  On the way to band rehearsal this morning I was listening to the guys on PGA Tour radio in the golf school segment and they got to talking about short game practice.  As I love working that part of the game, my ears perked up.  They were talking taking multiple clubs and doing pitches/chips from the same distance and learning how each flies the ball.  So today was the start of the 8P54 drill (8i - Pw - 54°).   Set it up to hit two balls with each club from the same lie to a set distance.  It really helps envision what I should see in each club.  A sweet new twist to a fave drill.

    • I will most likely buy the TSR1 klineka mentioned, though they didn't respond when I asked the seller if they had the +6 weight. They only said the weight was the standard 9g. I contacted a couple of local pro shops, one said they would call Titleist on Tuesday (as Monday is a holiday) for me to order a +6 weight, but the one said Titleist wouldn't have it anymore since it's an older model. Anyway, I will probably buy an aftermarket weight from eBay. Any concerns around aftermarket weight on eBay? They are not cheap, like around $15.
