How Often Do You Replace… Your Hybrids?

I'm always looking for a hybrid I can hit longer and straighter so I tend to buy hybrids more frequently than any other club.

Never. Bought my first hybrid in 2009 or 2010 and still use it. Just got another one late last year but it's a different loft so they're both in the bag.

I voted 2-4 years. I have only ever owned 2 hybrids. Don't think I'll be changing anytime soon though. I love hitting my Callaway X2 hot pro.

Haha, same here.  Well, actually didn't buy mine until (I think) early 2012, but it was my first, and is still my only.

Slightly merging topics here, but I'm kinda proud of the fact that since 1999 or so, I've purchased:

ONE driver

ONE fairway wood

ONE hybrid

ONE set of irons

ONE set of wedges

ONE putter

Orlimar TriMetal Mizuno MX-700 Adams Idea Super S Titleist 910h I like the Titleist a lot. Plan on keeping it in the bag until something (maybe a newer Titleist) better with that same look comes along. I'm finicky about them because I need to have a lot of confidence in my hybrid because I tend to use it on trouble shots or when laying up (plus, of course, long approach shots).

2-4 years.  I don't get along well with hybrids but I do keep trying them.  I'm currently using an Adams Super DHY driving hybrid but it doesn't really work well from anywhere but a tight lie so I'm not sure it really qualifies.

I have never owned a hybrid.  When I bought my 7 wood several years ago I was also testing hybrids, I just hit the 7 wood better and so that I what I purchased.  I may consider swapping my 4I for a hybrid, since I don't hit my 4I very consistently.

I voted never. So far, that is true.

I own exactly two hybrids that I bought from a friend maybe 2-3 years ago.  They are Callaway Heavenwoods about 6-8 years old, 3H (20*) and 4H (23*). They filled the slot I was looking to fill perfectly and still do. It took me a couple of rounds to get used to them, but after that I have really liked them.

Even so, they don't get a lot of play. I gravitated more and more to playing vintage most of the time, and only played that bag maybe twice last year, and probably will only play it in a "shamble" this year plus a re-acclimation round.

I guess this is tied to my irons as I don't picture my self getting hybrids without replacing irons as well.. So, never cause I wouldn't be changing them because I want to, but rather because I'm forced to if that makes any sense.

3 drivers in 8 years or so. same for my woods in general.

I buy used ones from last season about half price or so.

using Taylormade I feel the difference in forgiveness. Also the overall feel is really better every 2-3 years. I dont think every year there is much change yet I cant close my eyes on forgiveness too long either.

I get extra yards on average hitting better shots on average. I dont think the clubs play longer though.

my last purchase 2 years ago about are driver, 3 wood and 3 hybride taylormade RBZ stage 2 stiff (not the TP versions).

I struggled for years to find hybrids I liked, so I don't think I'll swap out anytime soon.

Never... actually playing my first hybrids with my updated set... (I played Tour Edge Forged CNC and V-Blades last year, I have a 1-iron with the V-Blades)

Not very often, but have not always carried hybrids - for years I just had a Nickent 3DX and a 4DX, stopped playing hybrids for a bit and leaned on a 9 wood. In the past 6 months I have gone back to hybrids with a 3+4 Callaway x-hot and a 6 X2 hot.

Same response for the driver 2-4 years, unless a club really play superior to the club I got or does not gap well anymore.
