Goal was to ensure the front runner secures the nomination quicker without being dirtied up by the other GOP candidates with no chance to win. If Trump cleans up today they pretty much set him up to coast to the convention.

Not only that, but they pushed the most conservative states to Super Tuesday to make sure a truly conservative candidate would do well. Trump will be even stronger as more liberal or swing states have their primaries, but like you said, it may be over at that point.

Just sit back, relax and enjoy some Trump Steaks while you pay off your trump mortgage, because the republican party is about to get the candidate they deserve!

You know, I tend to go by the opinion of people I know more than someone on TV who's going for ratings. My aunt started from nothing, moved out to Las Vegas and worked in the casinos multiple shifts to make ends meet. She's become a very successful commercial real estate agent who's brokered billion dollar deals. She's met Donald Trump, her fiance has had business dealings with him as well. Both have had personal interactions with Trump outside of the business dealings. She supports Trump. So, when people talk about how those who support Trump are stupid, ignorant, unintelligent, and/or gullible etc, I take offense to that. How many of you that are saying these things came from poverty to being worth millions through hard work and dedication as she has? I'm not saying I personally support Trump in the election, except for if it's him vs Clinton or Sanders. Of course, I'm pretty much for any one of the other candidates over those two.

Probably maybe yes because he has the lion share of the primary vote. What does this mean? The been on the schneid since oh say 2006ish GOP is out of touch. They moved too far right and continue to campaign on stale issues people in the middle aren't concerned about.

I mentioned up above that Drumph will still be quite a ways away from the nomination, delegate-wise, even after big wins today, however, I heard recently (don't remember the source) that the leaders after Super Tuesday have gone on to win the nominations for a few elections running now.

Today is a big deal.

The dour and desperate demeanor of Cruz and Rubio tomorrow will tell the story.

I'm gonna go vote for Cruz today but I haven't picked a winner since '04, which means Trump will probably take Texas.

For the record I dont think people are "stupid, ignorant, unintelligent..." because they support Donald Drumph
I think you find dumb people in every group of followers!
I think his followers are just as guilable as any follower of a political candidate, religion or cult.

Politicians are great at spewing sound bites and then getting you to vote against your interest simply because they have you believing that another issue is the biggest issue to making your life better.
IE- cutting welfare!
How many recipients of foodstamps/welfare from the military or rural midwest will vote for a candidate who is going to cut welfare because they think that will balance the budget?

How many people are going to vote for Drumph  because he is going to build a wall (with mexico's $$$) because this will make America Great again!!!!

Howmany are going to vote for Hillary because she is a women (unconfirmed)!

It would require another candidate to somehow completely reverse the tide and start running the table. How likely is that? Maybe if Trump shoots someone in the middle of 5th Avenue ...

Or get Paul Ryan all heated up because Trump has stepped on his dick with the David Duke thing. If he doesn't perform as expected today the 15th could tighten things up and there are primaries to come. Trump whether he gets the nomination or not will eventually say something REALLY offensive.

And how many young people are going to vote for Sanders because everything he says and stands for appeals directly to the entitled generation?  Anyone who has actually worked for a living and has busted his butt to get ahead should be terrified of a Bernie Sanders administration, far more than Trump.

Sanders can't do this anymore than Trump can build a big-ass wall without Congress passing a law, which we all know they can't do.  None of the Presidential candidates scare me, for the simple reason that outside of committing the military there's not much a President can do without Congress.  This Congress would decidedly repudiate Trump, Clinton, or Sanders were they to win.

The real question impacting what laws/programs will come to pass in 2017-18 is how will the GE (and the candidates in it) influence the House/Senate elections, and, and how will Congress react to the eventual POTUS.

    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
