First time I've seen someone hit the road hole bunker in the 2nd round. Leave it to Tiger. He's been doing a lot of stuff (none of it good) no one else has been doing.

Well, as long as we can not get it out of that bunker linke Tiger just did, I guess we need to hush and take a bow

Not too bad for Tiger. He beat Faldo by three shots.

Yup. That was a big par. Kept him in 147th place. Huge improvement this week from Chambers Bay. Definitely worthy of a bow.

I can't imagine what would be required if he made the cut...

Who was the golfer that was said to have lost 50 pounds in 6 months? Impressive. The conditions seem alright now, can't wait til tomorrow and the birdie-fest.

David Duval.

Weather forecast looks to be some rain the next couple days. But no wind tomorrow. You'll see guys really go low, I think.

Monday's forecast actually looks a lot like Thursday's. Same wind direction and wind speeds, so I think you'll see some tough conditions coming down the stretch.

Hearing the golf yellers .....and I can't detect British accents when they yell "get in the hole!"

You ever hear British accents when rock stars like Mick Jagger or Roger Daltry yell on their songs?? Also, are we being rude by calling them British accents? Should we just be calling them "The" accent?

Oh well, I leave it. I will admit I am a big TW fan. He is playing bad, he knows it. I just don't get it why he is getting the sarcastic treatment. Nevermind.

Brits are too proper and respect the game too much to yell like these idiots do. They've got to be ugly Americans.

NFL games have been called due to fog that golfers would play in. A Bears Eagles playoff game IIRC. Are you going to call them wusses too?

Rules are designed to create fair play in golf. If the ball cannot remain still on the green, they postpone play.

The Fog Bowl, as it was called, was played to its complication with no stoppage in play. Even though the fog was so bad you could not from one sideline to the other.

This weather discussion is just silly. Different games can tolerate different weather conditions.

You know this guy's English, right? ;-)

Brits get s$#/faced like we all do, maybe worse.. Trust me, I know this well. They had nothing to do for 10 hours, I cut em some slack.

Don't forget Football Hooliganism. The English variety of which is probably the worst. No propriety and respect there.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

    • I use GPS;  it may not be as accurate, but neither am I.
    • Back in my Army days a "gooch" was a particular part of the anatomy. Example, say Okeechobee is the b-hole of Florida, then Belle Glade would be the gooch. Seems he wears his name well.
    • I can't say that I remember a lot of individual putts, but I do have one specific memory.  The first time I played the Old Course, I had hit a pretty good drive on the 6th hole.  I had about 60 yards left, and due to the swale in front of the green, there was no chance of flying a wedge on or near the green and having it stop on the green.  My caddie recommended either a running 7-iron chip or a putt, and I took the putter and a pretty hard swing.  The ball rolled over humps and through hollows, disappeared into the swale in front of the green, and re-appeared heading right at the hole.  I ended up maybe 12 feet away.  The caddie turned and held out his hand to shake mine, and said "Now THAT was a golf shot!"
    • For the first time since 2021, I made a 3 on the 12th at Stoneleigh.    395 yards, something like 80 feet uphill, I hit a solid drive and a 7-wood to inside a foot.  Even I couldn't miss that one.  I feel like I haven't played a lot of golf this year, but I'm making decent progress.
