I am a very very good golfer. I'm 49 years old and although my handicap is not yet plus, I will be winning big time on the Champions Tour within the next twelve months. My question to you is this, "Do you want to be a part of this BONANZA?"

I recently approached my local bank for a loan for this endeavour and to my surprise they refused. So, I am offering, wait for it, an APR of 22.4% to anyone who finances this. That's $22.40 per year for every $100 you invest in this project.

I don't want to go into the fine details at the moment, lets just say this is an opportunity that could hound you for the rest of your life if you don't take it.

What's my advice?

Go for it!

what could go wrong - how many units are you selling, and how much is each unit?

by the way, how do you plan on qualifying for a champions tour event?

it may be the hardest tour to get onto...unless you are in the World Golf Hall of Fame, or one of the top 70 in lifetime earnings, or a few other obscure exemptions

It is very much the hardest tour to get in. On the PGA Tour there are quite a few pros losing their cards and giving up every year. The Champions Tour is mostly comprised of the pros who were able to stay on tour for 20+ seasons. Combine that with the fact that the fields are smaller and sponsors leave less room for qualifiers because they only want recognizable names and you're looking at the most exclusive group of golfers in the world.

Pretty sure you should qualify first to play with the seniors, then ask for money.

If you hdc index is 1.4, you aren't good enough to win on the Champions Tour. Not a chance. Sorry.

My handicap would probably get me through the cut but you're right not good enough to win. With the finacial support I would hire Erik and Mike to tune up my game and I think the sky would be the limit.

This is much better than those cheesy "My sister makes $100/hr working from home" SPAM comments typically seen on-line.

This is definitely not spam and I am only promising 22.4% annual gain on your invetsment. Its not a get rich quick scheme but I'm sure if you can afford the investment I'll enjoy the project.

There's no limit on the amount of units available and each unit costs only $5 with a minimum purchase of 50 units. I also have a early bird special, 100units for $450. I plan to use bribery in order to qualify and if that doesn't work, I will rely on skill.

With the proper sponsoring and marketing, I am going to be one recognised names.

Not possible, I need the money.

Yes exact translation of 'bile yer heid' is 'boil your head'. We often say, "Awa' an' bile yer heid ya mug ye" meaning WTFO. 'Don't be ridiculous' is also a pretty accurate translation. And of course I am not being ridiculous, if you can afford the investment, I promise to put my heart and soul into it.

You're an interesting fellow. I think I like you and hope you do well. I may not be posting for a few weeks, I start the M&M; tour shortly.
My handicap would probably get me through the cut but you're right not good enough to win.
No it wouldn't. Not even close. Unless someone played through a catastrophic injury or they talked someone like Arnold Palmer into playing again (i.e. a really old guy)  you'd be DFL just about every time. Edit: forgot no actual cut on Champs Tour. Still DFL or very close.

There's no cut in a Champions Tour event. You should probably know that.... You couldn't compete with Jeff Maggert, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Paul Goydos, Woody Austin, Billy Andrade, and Joe Durant on the PGA Tour last year, but you're going to compete with them on the Champions Tour this year. Good stuff!

Go for it!

I could get a 100% return on my investment if I could just get someone to take my $100 bet that you will never tee it up in a Champions Tour event.

(BTW, APR is used for interest that one is paying - the way you are using it it should be APY)

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Rich - in name only

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
