Zero for me today. Didn't score all that great but finishing with the ball I started with is a good feeling.

I did not play today, but I have not lost a ball in the last 108 holes I have played. I have changed out a few balls during those 108 holes, but the used ones went into my shag bag. Scores are scores, but consistency is pretty good in it's self for 472 strokes, at 4.4 strokes per hole.

A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

Lost 2 today on my approach shot over a pond, I took a really big swing at it to get it over and pushed it OB over a fence to the right. So drop one, and swing a little less, goes right towards the pin and splashes 2ft from the green into the pond.

One. Looked like it dropped down, but instead I put it through the woods past the 18th tee, into the woods on the other side where we weren't about to look. Dropped at point of entry +2 strokes. The course was backed up. Walking back to the tee would have really pissed off people so it was best to just drop a ball. It was a casual round anyway. Who cares?

zero (yesterday) and it was a milestone.  18 holes at the Presidio in SF.  Playing with colleagues and had one of my best shots ever on the Par 5 9th hole.  Crushed my driver straight down the middle about 290.  Had 203yds to a flag placed on the (small) left side of the green behind a sand trap.  Put it over the trap and 3' away from the pin.

THEN....i missed the put for an eagle....

Have been doing good lately, only losing 1 or 2 each round (still haven't gotten the elusive ZERO) but got a BAD case of the shanks last Thursday and lost 6!!! My playing partner told me my tempo had gotten really quick and I need to get to the range and fix this pronto.

Zero also for me.  Put 2 in my pocket to start out and finished with both.  Unfortunately, both will have shag bag duty now as both have cart path rash.  Made it to 17 before that happened and then the other ball on 18.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
