If Rory can just get in at -1, he has a shot in this thing. Two par-5s coming up for him. As well as Jordan is playing, I can't see him being any better than he is right now. Nobody's scoring well. One-under par might be good enough for 4th or 5th place come day's end.

Wow, @Chilli Dipper I take back everything I said about 13 yesterday - it clearly just needs a bit of wind to show its teeth. That approach is killing people out there today.

Average wind 10mph gusting to 26mph plus lower than average temps (denser air and gust messing with clubbing and shot dispersion?)

Still early, but cut line went from +4 to +3 a bit ago. Odd cuz it appears to be playing tougher than yesterday and the estimate then was +4.

Edit: spieth birdie and 10 shot rule?

I would guess that the field started 'dialing it back' due to the difficult conditions shooting for safe pars rather than chance at birdie.

Even Spieth is not immune from the conditions.

If Rory could make a putt he would be at 4 under...

Amazing how one double bogey can really stir the interest. This tournament needs to be closer than it is currently. I was seriously impressed and pleased for Spieth on Sunday evening last year, but it made for a pretty dull final day for me. I'd be happy if he wins, but I'd far rather it be a closer thing this time around.

If Rory could make a putt he'd have a green jacket right now. It's been his problem for years now.

For those saying why is scoring so much tougher today when the wind speed is the same, you need to realize the greens were very soft yesterday. They're much harder and faster today.

That and Jason Day's absurd flop shot attempt!

Very true...

Rory needs to birdie 13 after that drive.  Crushed it.

Agreed. Anybody even at the end of this day has a good shot.

There is a lot of golf to be played - anyone making the cut has a chance to win, depending on weather/course conditions on the weekend and their ability to go low when others do not.

Players play, tough players win!

And he made it. Sheesh.

Unreal...  He has to be fired up after that one.

Are you coming out for the NY outing?

Spoiler

That's my plan, though I had a really bad (even for me) 9 holes that make me question how wise that is....  In other words, I suck and do I want other people to see that...

Even for the limited coverage the Masters committee enforces, it's still better than regular tournaments and is keeping me way distracted.
