I got an e-mail today from Warrior custom golf, distributed via News@golfdeals... offering a free wedge.

Warrior is offering a new product line, Tomahawk Edge wedges. You supposedly get a free Gap Wedge... plus, the first 500 get a matching SW and LW, also for free. Any chance Tomahawk Edge will be confused with Tour Edge?

Easy pathway was to enter online, and purchase what appears to be an expediter ap to get in faster. I chose the conservative path, dialing the 1-800 number, and an electronic Siri voice took my voice message and phone #.

I don't know much about Warrior, except their earlier iteration seemed to have supply chain problems.

Anybody get the free wedge? Any updates on Warrior performance?

Focus, connect and follow through!

Warrior will ask you to demo the SW and LW and give your opinion.  After a conversation and an over the phone fitting they'll tell you you need to make a payment that is fully refundable when you return the club within some time period (around 40 days if I recall).  The payment will probably be $100 a club or so.  Note, you may be able to find the same wedge at amazon.com for $20 or so...https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=warrior+wedge

If you try to return the clubs you have to call the corporate office, you'll then be transfered to a series of high pressure sales people. They'll try to talk you out of it.  I just gave up trying, it wasn't worth the effort to me.

If you give them your phone number you'll get periodic sales calls from various states.

At least that was my experience... I'm embarrased to say.

My deal was a free putter and demo'd two other clubs, a 6w and a 3 hybrid. I like the putter and I do use it.  I don't use the 6w or the 3 hybrid, my Callaway clubs work much, much better for me.

What a crappy business model: pretend to give you something free than extract a payment.

For what it's worth I work sometimes in Irvine and drive right by their modest "HQ" building. There is usually a large FedEx shipping container parked out front so they must have some real business as well

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

If they call you or send you something  for a free demo, run the other way. They are not very credible to do business with.

Pine Meadows in Oregon is a better company, and they are not very good either.

The only good things I have found free in golf are sunshine, and air.

Warrior Golf is a big scam.  Avoid, for reasons pointed out already in this thread, as well as the linked one.  If you're going to pay brand-name prices for a club -- and, make no mistake, you will, or you'll spend the equivalent time getting the ability to return it and get a refund -- get an actual name brand club, not this junk.

For more amusement, count how many posts on this forum praise Warrior Golf ... and are the poster's only comment!

Yeah, usually not a good sign when "scam" is one of the top related search terms from Google.

Exactly! When Warrior was first a company, my buddy called in and got 3 hybrid delivered to him, supposedly free! Then they went after him looking for money! He told them to get lost, and, eventually, the calls stopped. He let me hit the 3 hybrid several times. If you hit it perfectly. it worked great. What a surprise! If you were a little off, there was no forgiveness! Forget Warrior Golf!

Save your money and aggravation and buy a nice Callaway PM grind wedge. You can thank me later.

Don't believe they're actually giving away free clubs. This con has been going on for years. They called me about 10 years ago and tried the high pressure tactics. I got rude with them and have never been called again.

I was given a Warrior 4 Hybrid, from a pal. He paid 2 bucks at a garage sale.  I hit it pretty well.  :-\

    • I am currently playing a Cobra Ltdx LS 9 degree driver and Cobra Ltdx LS FW3. Both with Tensei White stock stiff shafts and original weights of 12g (heel) and 3g (toe). My miss is usually a pull fade or sometimes a slice, swing is out to in. Driver swing speed about 112 mph. Grips are stock regular. Intended change: Driver: Switching to Tensei White x-flex one inch shorter which I suppose would be 44,5? Changing heel weight to 18g. Changing grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Change hosel setting to standard draw. FW3: Changing heel weight to 16g (apparently not available in FW weights, but supposed to be something called "internal weight" a club builder can add which fits between the weight and the screw?). Change grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Changing hosel setting to standard +1. The goal is to 1) get better grip since I tend so lose grip in warm and moist conditions with the current grips and 2) mitigate the misses to start more straight with less side spin. Also considering adding the Cobra Ltdx LS FW5 instead of my old Taylormade R9 and getting 14g heel and 6g toe weights with the same grip as the others and hosel setting standard +1.   All of the above is based on conversations with ChatGPT and, as everyone knows, it can come up with pretty much whatever but I spent a few hours asking about different perspectives etc and this was the recommendation. So, my question is basically, does it make any sense?   Thanks.
