An 18 player exhibition, in a nice warm place, no cut, supports his own charity, this actually makes sense to me, much more sense than coming back to a real competitive event. I hope it works out.

From what I know, unless he injures himself again, he should feel fine about his game to play in it.

Frankly, I was surprised he first committed to the Safeway Open.  This is much more conducive to his return and will generate a huge publicity for his foundation.

The "yeah, right" was in response to the OP.  

He might show, but we really have no reason to expect that he will.  Moreover, I doubt that his game has changed dramatically in the last 3 weeks,
