Mine is a 22 degree Cleveland hybrid I picked up for 20 bucks.  It is good for 200 so my cost per yard is 10 cents.  My "driver" (a 3 wood) costs me 33.33 cents per yard.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Is slow play at your course that bad, that you have this much time to think about all kinds of things?

Does free count? How about total length? Cuz then my putter might start to come into play.

Regarding free clubs, and slow play, yes.  The winter doldrums, brief though they are around here, do tax the mind.  For that matter; my cheapest per yard club is a putter I made with a broomstick, a chunk of 2x4, and a horse shoe.

If free counts, then my wedges, which cost me nothing but a TST review, would tie for first with a cost of $0 per yard.  But that's no fun, so then the answer becomes my driver.  It's a G30 that I bought secondhand from @tristanhilton85 for $100 ... so it's about 38 cents per yard.

My guess is, it is my putter. It is my oldest club as far as continuous usage. Maybe something like $00.003 a yard average, accumulative yards over the years. Of course I am not using the same formula as the OP.

My driver, on the other hand, is probably in $1.25 range.

I'm not sure about the length of each putt but my putter is an older 2 ball that I bought at a First Tee auction for $25.   I had 2,935 putts this year or about $0.0085 per putt.

The driver I currently have in the bag, the Cobra F6, I bought for $100.  So that is definitely it.  I bought my 3 wood and hybrid for about $100 and paid full price for my irons — about $125 per club.  My putter is by far the worst value per yard.  Got a milled custom built one for $500.

In my current bag, using the OP's method of per yard per use, it would be my Callaway 20* hybrid. I bought it used for $25, and it is good for about 200, so 12.5 cents per yard.

In my vintage bag I have a PING Eye2 laminated maple 3 wood given to me by a friend, also good(when I am swinging well) for about 200 (off the tee), so $0.00. Of course the satisfaction from connecting on that old stick is priceless! It hasn't seen much use this year, though, as I have been stuck on the modern stuff. I need to drag it out.

After 15 years playing with the same club, i bougth 14 new clubs.

The most cheap per yards it´s my 4 iron. 125UDS / 200 yards carry = 0,62 UDS per yard.

Because of corrupt customs and a lot of taxes applyed, golf clubs here in argentina are twice the price than in the USA.

Over 20 years later... It would be each of my two Scotty Cameron putters.

I have a lot of putters in my garage. But, one of my two Scotty Newports is always in my bag. One has a big grip and the other has a thinner grip They are both a little different in size. One has the insert

They are the oldest clubs in my bag. Old friends.

They are my cheapest club per inch.  :)

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
