I predict Tiger get more TV coverage than anyone else. even if he misses the cut. They will show him practicing.

That's not a prediction. That's stating facts.

I know it's a little late, but I said no majors before the year started and am sticking to that, although I hope I'm wrong. I think his best shot will be at Pebble. I do think he will finish in the top-3 there but I think one of the big hitters (DJ, Koepka, Rory) will power through.

PGA wins, I'll go with 2. I think he'll win one of his normal events (Bay Hill or Memorial) and then win a FedEx event. I think he will get into the top 30 with a lot of top-10 finishes this year to play The TOUR.

241, man. Don't add 11 days that we won't have to wait.

And just think… in 2019, the wait between the last major and the first major will be EVEN LONGER. (We'll get The Players in March, but that's not a major of course.)

36 days - just to get this up to date.
That's right people - 5 weeks from tomorrow.
I'm excited, because hopefully it will finally be spring here (5° here this morning - so I'm looking for anything good to look forward to)

Glad to see Tigers feeling better, nothing worse than nagging injuries after overcoming what he has so far.

Or coverage of the coverage.

I went to Golfweek earlier and had to dig thru pages and pages to look up something on Molinari's win the day before y'day.  It's back to Tiger, Tiger Woods ya'll.

I have a question for the posters on the board, and more specifically those who voted in this poll.

We are about 1/3 of the way through the PGA season (give or take the wrap), and would you change your vote at this point in time?

Has his performance, or the performance of the other top tour players changed your mind or expectations for Tiger's 2019 wins?
Since winning the Tour Championship, Tiger has played in 5 events with 1 top 10 and only 1 event outside the top 20. He finished 2018 ranked 13 in OWGR, and is still ranked 13th.

I voted 1 tour victory & 0 majors, if anything I'd be more likely to increase my estimate of wins and I'd likely vote 2/1 at this time.

I voted double zero.  While I am hoping I am wrong, but after seeing what he has done so far, I am not hopeful.

FWIW - I'm still laughing, Rahm has 3 wins in the last year. Over the next 10 years I can probably name 10-15 players I'd take to have more wins than Tiger (especially since Tiger plays a limited schedule).
Starting with Koepka, DJ, JT, Molinari, Rahm ... heck I'd even pick Schauffele, Cantlay and maybe even Niemann (because youth will win out).

We can make a bet, I name 15 players and you get Tiger. Payout is $100 per player, whoever has the most wins in the next 10 years (Senior tour doesn't count, as Tiger would qualify by the end of the bet). We can make it 5 years if you'd like.

FWIW - I upped my guess from this year to 1 tour win and 0 majors.

Hmm.  Don't go hiding when I'm right! cha ching

LOL - not shocked that a Tiger win brings back a troll, welcome back.
Great win for Tiger, but you are not winning your bet - not that you really care because trolls gonna troll.

Troll? Is that what we call excellent posters?  Don't be mad because Tiger>Rahm for next 10 years

I guessed 2-3/1.

So I'm at 1/1, and need 1-2 regular PGA Tour victories to be right.

I kinda hope I'm wrong now, because being wrong can go one of two ways:

  • He's done winning: 1/1 is not 2/1 or 3/1.
  • He wins more than 3 or 2 majors.

I think the odds of the second are higher than the odds of the first? Not by a lot, but higher still.

I predicted his victory in the Masters! Just like I did the last 10 Masters!

I would change it from one major and 2-3 in total to 2 majors and 2-3 in total.

Yeah, that would be awesome.  I still think it's less than a 50/50 shot...but after today, it seems a heck of a lot more likely.  Can't wait to watch the show next year.

I'm probably a total sucker, but at one point today I actually thought about how awesome it'd be if he could get to 19...haha.

Can't wait to watch the show the rest of this year!  19>15>18

Oh the irony. Eldrick misses the cut at The Open, (surprise). The following week, the leg humpers at the Golf Channel showcase, "Tiger Woods - Chasing History", (or "Chasing His Tail", or "Chasing Tail")..I can't remember the title, on continuous loop....yawn.

The media continues to prop him up, (or lose advertising revenue from Nike) when even he is beginning to admit that his glory days may be behind him. Perhaps after his next fiasco, he will retire from golf, and start a dating site on the internet. The question then becomes, "What will the droolers on the GC have to talk about....Michelle Wie?"
