I just hope the weather gods don’t take it out on me this hurricane season!  😎

They will now! :-P

North Carolina weather is really nice right now. We had a lot of wet weather in February and March. I'm tired of playing in the mud, luckily it's great conditions at the moment but the heat is starting to kick in, so it's mornings or evenings for now.

Rain everywhere it seems. One of the few really positive things about my home courses is that they drain like champs.

On the other hand, the rough is straight-up gangster right now.

Yea that's what it's like at the courses I play. I'm actually ok with that. Missing the fairway should be penal and it helps stop my ball from rolling into the woods.

I get it, but when every group on the course conducts extended ball searches every hole or two, it's tiresome.

Had a round go 5 hours a few weeks ago. Don't even ask about how we scored.

One positive thing about the rain... my local course enlarged the pond on hole 3 this off-season and it's filling up pretty fast.

Here in SE Texas, we were CPO for months during what is our winter and early spring.  It was not fun.  Now we are getting into the part of the year where we have that 10% to 20% rain chance every afternoon but usually not enough to soak the course.  Now we just need the wind to die down a bit.  Oh...and the #$%& gnats to go away.  They are horrible.

Same in North Texas. Only a few playable Saturdays. -Marv

I'm in North Texas (Richardson) and for most of April/Early May are course was unplayable and driving range was mat only.

It has been getting better recently though

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
