... and Rory hits the grandstand at 18.  We know what that's going to mean.

Stick a fork in him.

Quite a bit of "giddy-up" from Tiger after he nailed that putt on #1.

Quite the contrast from someone who grimaced after hitting a poor tee shot.

Rory shoots a +8, 79

Was it a ah-damn-that-hurt-somewehere reaction or jesus-tiger-that-was-an-iron...?

That bunker shot from Tiger was tasty.

I love the Open so much. Umbrellas out, water on the camera, etc.

Woods is so bad off the tee on any difficult course, he should maybe think about taking 5 iron.

It can't be any worse than his long irons and woods.

Just don't think he has the game on any course that has tight fairways and difficult rough - not good enough.

How will Tiger ever win a U.S. Open?

He hasn't played in forever. For the year he's 54th in accuracy and 69th in strokes gained off the tee so there are plenty worse than him.

I'd love him to win.  He seems like a really top bloke.

In my top 5 golfers to look out for.

...Jeez, Duval is not going to break 90.

Is there a bigger scratch your head story in golf than Duval?

Is it really a scratch your head story? Injuries, and his British Open win sapped some of his drive to compete.

David Duval shoots 90. Yikes.

I’ve seen all four seasons already about 10 times in the last hour.  Crazy. One minute it’s raining, then it’s rain and wind, two minutes later it’s sunny and calm, then the rain comes back in a few minutes.

Are there other places to stream featured groups or main coverage besides Golf Channel without subscribing to anything? Sky Sports is broadcasting in UK, but you need a subscription. GC works, but has so many ads.

I use VPN, so any country will do.

This isn't 2008.

We've moved on by 11 years.

He's not good enough off the tee and one of the worst players on tour out of the rough.  Not a good mix for The Open.

That said, if he accepts his limitations and plays smart like he did on the 5th, his mid iron and short game is still as good as anyone - so who knows.
