Fortunately when practicing at home I have never broken anything.  Just lucky I guess.

I can't say that when playing, which of course is another story.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

In college I used to practice swinging a 3 iron in my basement apartment.  Lightly grazed the ceiling once.  Thinking I had a repeatable, compact and flatter swing then.  Wish I had that now.

Any number of windows hitting wedges around the yard as a kid.  Nothing like catching it a groove low when trying to play it over the house to a tight pin in the backyard...  :8)

As an adult, I somehow managed to catch the marble top of my wife’s 19th century washstand, again, with a wedge.  No bueno...

Chunk of the  corner of the frame of my wife's favorite painting. I caught in the follow through with my driver. The piece was half inch thick and 3-4 inches long but she didn't notice for a few days.

She was terribly upset for a day but got over it in a few days. She did not want me glue it back on as it had splintered a bit on the face side.

Baaaaahhh...

I have! Let's see, I have the record for most geese hit in a round. Most trees hit. Most cuss words... It's a long and distinguished list, but my secret for not breaking stuff at home is that my wife scares the :poo: out of me, so I am extremely careful.

Nothing with golf, but as a kid I broke the same basement window in my neighbor’s house many times playing baseball. I got really good at fixing windows. Another neighbor offered me a job to reglaze his windows over the fall.

Had a workshop when I was living near Spokane. Had a couple of large canvas tarps in front of me to hit into. Terrible shots tend to go right......huge dent in a tall speaker (still worked), but ticked my wife off when I put a ball through a rather expensive cat travel box. Right through it and it just shattered the end of it. On the positive side of things.... I missed the other one. As a side note....my workshop was about 1000sf there....my whole detached house with garage here is about 950sf.

Sounds about right, and the courses aren't close and it's always raining, but the pub's are really good!

Haven't broke anything yet inside, but have came close to hitting a couple tables.

Fortunately, I haven’t broken anything while practicing yet. However, when I’ve been chipping inside, it’s been known for a few of my balls (plastic, no doubt) to hit our living room TV. No damage, mainly because the balls I use are so light. Heck, when I’m playing a hole over my couch to a tight hole location, I often use the TV as a backboard!

Nothing broken but I dropped a golf ball in the garage and it hit my husband’s car. Darn car is made of aluminum and the ball made an indentation on the side. No one has noticed it yet....shhhhhhhh!

Huh? I have at least 5 courses inside 10 miles.....pretty normal. Rain...it is what it is. Pubs? dying out.

    • You all are right, its not that big of an issue, I'll leave it alone, especially after looking at that picture of Tigers beat up putter. But I also noticed the small circle worn on the sweet-spot where he hits it every time, I definitely don't have one of those. Thanks for the replies
    • Committing to one brand of ball this year - Snell MTB Prime X, the 5 doz. pack. Like how they perform for me. At $18/doz., can live with cover scuffing. Iron regripping with GolfPrice MCC+4 Teams std. in red/navy. May be retiring Odyssey Dual Force after 30 yrs. Seems like I can't get it to the hole anymore. Kind of light and has lots of toe hang. My reg. group's hounding finally wore me down.    From Callaway preowned - trying out the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K in double wide (less toe hang) and triple wide (face balanced). Both also noticeably heavier...we shall see.
    • WOW, it looks like he has been hitting stones with that putter to put all of those nicks into it.  I can't see how a ball would cause many those dings.
    • I'm fighting a knee as well as a foot so I "Feel your pain".  Luckily for me the PT is helping at this time and I am hoping knee surgery is not imminent.  Best of luck to you.
