  1. 1. What type of "Weather Golfer" are you.

    • I am 100% a Fair Weather Golfer - It can't be too cold or too hot and forget any rain or wet fairways. It must be perfect weather or I am out.

    • I am a Decent Weather Golfer - I'll golf if not raining as long as it is over 60 degrees and under 85 degrees.
    • I am a Dry & Warm Weather Golfer - as long as over 60 degrees and not raining I'll be there, even if over 85-90 degrees.
    • I am a Warm Weather Golfer - As long as over 60 degrees I'll be there, even if it is wet/rainy.
    • I am a Dry Weather Golfer - I'll golf in any temps as long as it is not raining or snowing.
    • I am an All Weather Golfer - If the course is open I'll be there.

All weather, but very rarely if it’s pouring. Some rain is fine. Wind is a more no-go than rain. Especially wind and rain.

I’d rather play in cool light drizzle than 80° F+ and sunny. My body is not designed for hot weather.

My perfect conditions are 60-70° F and cloud cover. If it’s a bit nippy I can wear more clothes. I can only remove so much clothes if it’s 75+ and still get too hot. Warm and cloudy can work too.

Ok, I didn't read the question at all, lol. So, to answer this thread correctly.

Temp: Above 45 degrees (pending wind at the low end).
Weather: On and off rain, I am ok. I may not go out by myself, but I am not skipping a tee time if the weather is just meh. T-storms, or torrential downpour, then it will be a game time decision. Snow is out. I will never play golf when it is that cold out.

The closest one might be "All Weather" then ;).

I voted "Decent Weather Golfer".

I was going to describe my general rules...but then @saevel25 did it for me so I'll just copy his, with one addition:

Temp: Above 45 degrees (pending wind at the low end).  Below 90 degrees.
Weather: On and off rain, I am ok. I may not go out by myself, but I am not skipping a tee time if the weather is just meh. T-storms, or torrential downpour, then it will be a game time decision. Snow is out. I will never play golf when it is that cold out.

Hey there, new member here (also a newbie player)!

I voted All Weather Golfer since I live in Colombia, a tropical country with relatively stable weather throughout the year, but with plenty of “micro weathers” depending on the altitude you're in. So I've played in cooler mountain cities like Bogotá (55°F ish - 8,660 ft asl) but also in warmer mountain regions like the coffee triangle and of course on the hot and humid Caribbean coast as well, and I've enjoyed all rounds.

Hola paisano! My family is in Cúcuta, I don't think we have any courses there jaja

I voted dry weather. I don't like to play in steady rain more because of the hassle of keeping clubs dry than myself getting wet. Temperature wise I mainly play attention to the heat index as opposed to the air temp, but generally from 45-115 I'm playing and I'm usually walking up until 105/110 heat index. Fortunately that happens less often in SC than in TN.

Pretty much all weather - Rain and cold don't really bother as do neither hot temps.  For years I rode year round on the bike, so it being in the elements has never really been an issue.  I've called and had to look around for an open course when it was super cold.  Also I've been out there when it was pouring rain (and I had forgotten the rain gear).  So yes, if its open and I have the opportunity I will more times than not be calling for a tee time.
