Two victories in a row and not a word from this forum???

There was mention of him in that other thread about Sergio and Tiger. As a Sergio fan, I hope he comes back strong next year. EDIT: Nevermind, you started that thread too. ;-)

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

I started a thread last week when he ran away with a victory.  Hopefully he'll keep it going.

I'll pay attention when he wins a full field event.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

I think Sergio has been one of the best in the business from tee to green.  But his putter has let him down his entire career.  Seems as if he has solved the problem and if so he certainly will be a contender for several years to come.

Yeah. Weak fields, both of them.

Still, good to have him "back" somewhat.

Geeeeeeeeez - you're a hard marker!!

He can only compete against whoever else shows up.  And it wasn't THAT bad a field.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

They're not Americans and it wasn't played in America, so it was obviously a weak field

I think you meant to say his putting is back. His ball striking is super. He was in the top 10 in both putting stats in both weeks - putts per GIR and putts per round.

I'm not a Sergio fan, I wanted Jimenez to win. What a second shot at 17!! Shame he putted like the old Sergio!

3 out of the top 20 players in the world barely qualifies as a decent field.

You 2 are showing your anti-American bias. The Castello Maters had ZERO top 20 players in the field.  The Andalucia Masters had 3 in the top 20. Had Sergio not won the previous week, there would have only been 2 top 20 players.

Bingo.

I've said "weak field" about several PGA Tour stops, too. A weak field is a weak field, regardless of where the tournament is played.

For Sergio fans this is a good sign. A win is a win, especially after the last couple years he's had and he beat guys that have been on recent Ryder Cup teams. [quote name="deasy55" url="/t/54071/hes-baaaaaaaaack-sergio#post_657561"]

I thought Sergio's game was in order when he flirted with qualifying for the Tour Championship, but maybe that's also biased.

Regarding the full field events - I think that all 3 major men's golf events held this weekend suffered from having that one extra tourney. Segio blew away the field at his [sort of] home course then won when there was an extra event being held.

I should have added that I didn't really care who won any of the events held on the weekend. Maybe that's because the World Series (don't get me started on that misnomer) went to game 7 and it's football and hockey season now.

I do hope he's back though. Good for Sergio!!

Oh yes, I have a fierce anti-American bias alright. It's not like I was born there and am half American (aka my mother is from Boston)

If you were born there, aren't you completely American regardless of where your parents are from? I thought that's how the melting pot worked, but maybe I have that wrong.

Maybe you guys just need a reality check. Look at the threads on this site that are started to discuss 2nd Tier PGA Tour events (unfortunately my national Open is on that list) and most European Tour events. There are very few posters because at the end of the day, nobody cares. . . unless one of their favourites is in the field, like the guy who always just posts about AK and yukari who seems to be a big Sergio fan.
