Is that near the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field?

Wow, people in the frozen tundra will be playing golf while I still get a, "we're not sure when we're opening," response in NY.

If you're going out - have a good round and hit them straight!

Well, I went out in 40 degree weather on Sunday and the course was definitely open, albeit with some of the tees and greens screwed up not a little.

Is it just me, or does this ad I just got from a local course strike anyone else as an offer to participate in hunting down the Easter bunny?

"Golf season!"

"Rabbit season!"

You asked for it @RFKFREAK . It's a whole lot of UGLINESS.The wind changed directions from the nice warmness of this morning and started blowing out of the north. It got cold and nasty. Wind was howling.  I'm misshitting my 3W so bad, GameGolf thinks I hit it 71 yards. I'm miss hitting almost everything. I'm leaving for FL and don't even want to take my clubs it's that bad.

I saw. Opening hole looked rough. As someone who hasn't been able to play yet this season, I'll take your clubs and gladly go play somewhere warm, haha

The worst part about winter is losing feel for everything. Putting the clubs away for 5 months is horrible. I might just take a few clubs and hit the range. My other thought was to take my extra irons and wedges, buy a used bag, driver, putter, and 3w, and leave them in my computer room down in Dothan, AL. Then I would have a set there ready to go. I even have an extra pair of shoes that I could stash down there.

Yeah, I bet I suffer from the same thing once I finally am able to get out there.

However, I'm going to try and hit the range a few times, too.

Way off topic, but if I have a least favorite nine that one might be it.

Crap. Now they are predicting 2-4 inches of snow and 6-10 inches on the foothill tomorrow. There goes my Friday tee time.

It's still early in the season. Conditions are bad and you're shaking off the rust. I think you should take your clubs. Even if you don't play, get out in the warm weather and hit some balls, practice pitching and putting. It will be good just to get back into the groove. If you travel there often, I think it would be a good idea to get an extra set. You'll save on baggage fees in the long run and having the clubs there will make you want to use them.

This is the worst time of year to play here. Weather is warmer but courses are thrashed coming out of winter. Last weekend I played a course so hard it was like hitting from a dirt cart path. Twice I ended up OB after hitting really good shots that rolled unusually far. One landed on the green bounded off through a fence and off the course. Sucks because we are in handicap season. What should have been a putt for birdie ended up OB and having to post a esc double.
