I'm so rooting for Day, but I just can't help be in awe if Rory keeps this up.

Day looks like he is struggling a bit.......maybe just trying to take it extra-slow, but what a shame he is dealing wwith this

Why are we getting a split screen of Rory's shot and Jason Day walking, Fox?

EDIT--Uh, it's still going.  Maybe another technical glitch?

EDIT--I guess this is to show how long Day's walk is. Kind of dumb.

I know,  Makes no sense.  Fox's whole coverage has been glitchy, nicest I can put it.

Pathetic move by Fox. They are watching Day walk the long path between holes. Hoping he falls?! What is the point.

I'm not ;)

Umm, slow play isn't isolated to the US Open ;) Its an issue on any tournament.

The course isn't unplayable. Heck there has been a lot more golf courses in the past that have played much harder.

Winning Score

Merion: +1

Olympic club: +1

Pebbly Beach: E

Oakmont: +5

Winged Foot: +5

This course has been very playable. You just have to know how to play it. You just can't play your typical, "I'll take dead aim with high ball flight and have the ball stop with in 30 FT from the pin." In some cases just hitting the green isn't a good shot. If you miss it left and you KNOW that hitting it left of the pin will get you a 60 yard pitch shot, don't hit it left of the pin. It's not a good shot.

I am putting this course on my bucket list. It looks fantastic. Country Club golf is just boring.

Great post!  The people on this forum that are bitching about Chambers Bay. Are really showing their golf intelligence. Here is a novel idea for the haters, don't watch it if it's not enough Country club for you.
