More work on trying to dial in the distances and trajectories on partial wedge shots. I've been setting up far too closed with the shoulders and having to close the face to pull the ball on line.

I think I already noted today's practice, but I practiced some more in the afternoon after a lesson.

Nothing wrong with practicing twice in a day! :-D

Managed to stop by a range to get some chips in for about 10 mins before a business dinner this evening with a brand new Glide Ping fitty-six WS ! It's funny how on a practice green you hit a few nice crisp chips and you can start thinking you can get up and down from a trash can.. :-D

May 6

Stopped by course after work to practice short game. But, driving range and practice green were tied up with a golf clinic.

So, I went down to No. 9 green and spent 15 minutes "working on the curves" with my putter. Green has three distinct nodes, so I worked on crossing from one node to another. Turns out balls running into deep right node hold much better than I thought (pin rarely ends up there). I had always assumed they would run off back of green. Good to know for approach shots too.

Ninth green is usually a zoo during rounds, so you don't get time to "look and see what's there."

Focus, connect and follow through!

Started on my new priority piece the transition move at the top of the backswing, practiced inside in front of a mirror without a club.

Yesterday was more about practicing my "on course swing", today was more deliberate practice on the range.

30 Mins outdoors again, no ball. Working with my 6 iron on Key#3 Flat Left Wrist at impact. Slow swings, trying to get the low point of the swing forward of where the ball position would be.

Did 5 minutes this morning in front of the mirror.

Doing slow swings taking the club back and pausing at A4, then I lay the club shaft down and going slowly, I pause at A6 while making sure I have my weight forward and my head is still, and then continuing through to A9.

5/7: Spent 5 minutes on mirror work for my putting stance this morning. Take stance, check in mirror, back away, repeat.

For some reason I have started hunching up and getting everything out of position which in turn makes everything look wrong when I'm standing over the ball which then kills the old confidence (and leads to horrible, horrible, things like 4-putts...)

Spent 10 minutes in the gym working my drill with a 6 iron and 3W.  Also worked a bit on the quickie pitching motion.  My pitches have been off the last couple of rounds, so I need a refresher. I worked on it yesterday afternoon in the backyard with a 52 and 58 wedge.
