i know i should try to post some sort of video, but i feel as though i would be totally embarrassed and humiliated at this stage of my new swing, as there seems to be an unforgiving and fanatical segment lurking here on the forum , accusing me of different user names.

Fine, then post some recent scores. If your swing is now "automatic" then your scores should be much improved (like mid-70's).

I don't understand why you would be embarrassed posting your swing. Many of the people posting in this thread share their swings. You said you've "found the secret", here's an opportunity to prove it.

As long as it's here in this thread… I don't think we care much.

hi iacas- people here think that i have found the perfect swing and can shoot in the 70:s, so they say why am i not game to post it on video?

i will tell you why- i have not found the perfect swing at all.

one thing i can rest easy with is that at least i am trying to solve an elusive riddle without following mainstream hysteria.

you know and i know that my posts can seem a bit hit and miss ,but at least i appreciate that you always comment on their authenticity. that makes me actually think about the feedback and try to question my own hypotheses.

anyway, i have an absolute eye opener of a discovery today for you to digest.

it involves the grip- the palms of the hands should be totally facing each other.ok, the only way you can appreciate this is if you are a hacker, is to just join your hands together without a club, and then do a setup as per normal.

when you join the hands, make sure that they are totally clasped together .

that is what you want to achieve in a normal golf set up with the BACK of the palms parallel.

then all you do and this is paramount ,you MUST push down your left shoulder- it will automatically get into a "grooved" position on the backswing, but because your right palm is in the correct position, the takeaway is almost guaranteed.

by the way, i think the fact that golf grips/shafts are tapered ,just adds to the complexity of such a necessary, simplistic approach.

sometimes i think my talents are wasted .

the trouble is that if i 'crack" all this golfing diatribe and end up writing my own book, then there are not going to be too many happy authors out there.

I routinely troll and make things up. Please use my posts for your own amusement, and little else.

Call me a kid, but I like pictures in my books.

By the way. I got really excited for a moment when I thought the real MythBusters joined TST. My bruv and I watch the show. They could probably use their super-slow motion cameras to capture that swing frame by frame.

@boogielicious is probably right. Time to put this one to sleep. I just couldn't resist one more.

A video log of you playing a full round would be good enough to show you shoot in the 70s.

One can purchase less tapered grips or build up the grip in the lower hand so it does not taper.

I'm afraid we have only encouraged you to display your obvious personality disorder and for that I apologize. I don't take your issue as a joke and wish you the best. But please, speak to friends, family or any other support system and please find a counselor. You can beat this, but you have to be willing to accept some assistance.

There is no mainstream hysteria here. You've completely misread your audience.

I haven't seen a hit yet.

I'm not moving on. I still want to see pictures of this setup. I've asked you to do a few things, and you've still yet to do any of them:

  • Quote the people to whom you're responding.
  • Post pictures.
  • Post videos.
  • Define the words you're using, or use words that have one common definition as it pertains to the golf swing.

You've once again failed to do any of those things.

10 hours ago, mythbuster said:

I disagree. Many, many good players don't have the back of their palms parallel. Those with strong left-hand grips, for example, often have them 20+° away from parallel.

No, it isn't.

Poppycock.

I'm giving you a warning for your last post. You will continue to get warnings until you:

  • Quote the people to whom you're responding.
  • Post pictures.
  • Post videos.
  • Define the words you're using, or use words that have one common definition as it pertains to the golf swing.

It's that simple.

I will never understand trolling. At least this information is such utter garbage that it's mildly entertaining.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
