I just completed my full 5th year - managed 92 rounds ytd.    I'm fortunate that my job has flex hours & I can play after work often (probably half of these are 9 hole rounds though).   Funny how I seem to be approaching my practical limit - playing consistently, but not really improving anymore.   Maybe that's fairly typical, dunno.

I played 35 official rounds (posted for handicap) and probably another 15 unofficial (practice, scrambles).  I'm hoping to double the number of official rounds next year.

I don't know how many, but I do know that I will play 1 round a weekend for the next 4 weeks, so I will finish this year off on a good note and start the new one!

66 handicap posted rounds, probably 10 other rounds where I was hitting multiple balls and not keeping score. Not a bad total compared to previous years.

Not sure with handicap season here being mar-nov. Game Golf has 83 rounds but they count 9 holes as a round and I played a bunch of random golf I didn't submit for stats if I was bouncing around the course.

19 legitimate HCP rounds and about 8 unofficial practice rounds.  I did lose about 10 weeks due to cancer surgery and hope to add 10-15 rounds next season.

I posted 73 rounds to Ghin, and probably played a few scrambles or other non-handicap rounds.  I might get a few more in, I'm planning to play on Sunday.

Without checking the exact number I know I am a round or two in excess of 100 (18 hole equivalent).  Since the weather has remained relatively mild here, I suspect I will have a couple more rounds before the end of the year.  Maybe today?

about 110 rounds this year.   Probably get a couple more in with the way the weather is going.

I played 39 rounds this season, of which

  • 3 were 9 hole rounds.
  • 3 were 18 hole rounds that were played on the same day (54 holes on my birthday FTW!).
  • 2 were 18 hole rounds which were played one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Probably 30-35 actual rounds, and then a lot of 3-9 hole "rounds" at my course just playing to wait out traffic each day.

24 so far in 2015 and most likely 3 more remaining.

Averaging a round every two weeks is basically my goal, so I've succeeded!!

Only 29 rounds this year in my handicap.  I've also played a literal practice/social round where I decided before the first tee that my goal wasn't a low score, so make that 30.  (I was playing a regulation course with my mom, and hit a mid-iron off her tee to about where I thought she'd play from after she hit her drive -- it was more about playing golf with mom than shooting a low score, which I clearly wasn't optimizing)

I'll probably play 1-2 more before Dec 31.

Depressing the total is so low.  I think my goal for the year was 36, but I won't be able to fit seven more rounds in this month.

Where do you find that on the GHIN site? It only shows my last 20.

It think I've played 50+ rounds this year. I'm still playing but can't post scores anymore.

This is an odd case where the phone app for something has better features than the full website.  On my phone, I can see the last 12 months, the calendar year, revision, tournament only, etc.  For each group, you can see high, low, and average scores.

This is only posted rounds ... I forgot about the 2 alternate shot rounds from the Newport Cup.  I've also played a couple of 9 hole par 3 rounds, so if those count, then I will be right at about 30/31 by years end. :)

    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
