Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Thinking this weather stoppage is a crock of crap.Earlier there was supposed lightning around and they were people ou putting on green and spectators sitting in stands no rain.I come home for lunch and they stop play.I get home from work see one shot and boom another stoppage.

Heading home from Oakmont right now. Most people leaving as it looks as if they're done for the day. If they do play anymore, it wont be for a few more hours. Officials on site told us theyd be surprised if they play anymore.Will throw out some observations later.

Actually, that storm blew through faster than they thought ... they're actually back on the course now and they expect to be able to play the rest of the day.

Holly Sonders is back in full pink and overly tanned... and some will say magnificent.

She looks more plastic like as time passes. In a couple years they can just put her on a stick like a mannequin.

So, who's in better shape: the players who didn't make it out today who are looking at 36 holes tomorrow, or the players who did make it out today, will finish their rounds in the morning, and may be playing 36 holes on Saturday?

      It seems like any small mistake is exponentially exacerbated in the U.S. Open set up.  This tournament seems to be a very good test on identifying who makes the least mistakes - not who makes the best shots.

      Day 575, May 31, 2024 Played about five holes without a distraction today, and about 13 while my mind was elsewhere and on the taps on my wrist and the messages I was sharing with @Hardspoon and… just generally being annoyed about what was happening. But I played pretty well for the five holes.
