I occasionally have the honor of playing with a gentleman who shoots his age almost every time he plays.  On a 6,000 yard course (69.4/128 rating) last year he set his personal "under his age" record of -14 (age 89 and a 75).

At 63, I am no where near shooting my age but each year I get a bit closer.  Last year on my home course (70.1/128 - 6,222 yards) it was a "72" to get within 9 of my age.  Right now it is a race against time versus health/ability.

Anyone out there shoot their age on a regulation 6,000+ yard course?  If not, how close are you?

I'm 69 and I shot an 82 this year.  That's as close as I've gotten.

I have been with 12 a couple of times. I think I need another 10 years or so. That is as long as I don't lose much of my present game due to more Grandkids birthdays. :-P

I had 70 two years ago, at age 58.  My grandmother lived to be 105, so I suppose I have a chance if I can get close to that age.

This is a nice thread. Today I made a 78 aged 59. So I am too young.:-P

Looking forward to shooting closer to my age.

No 48's in my future. Even for 9 that's out of my range.

Three years ago, when I was 60, I and some friends played golf the day after Christmas. I live in NE Ohio BTW, so this was something of a minor miracle. I have no idea where this round came from, and it wasn't that close to my age, but I shot a 73 that day. Closest I've been yet.

I am 58, and quite regularly shoot my age. Unfortunately I play on a par 9

I turned 59 in March and my best round this year has been an 82.   I still see the chance for improvement this year and hope to break 80 but that's still a long ways to my age.
