So, in the spirit of the "Most pars in a round thread," I figured why not ask about birdies. Realizing there will be less variance in the answers, I was curious nonetheless...

just 2 for me

I shot 8 under with no eagles once, so that one's pretty easy. It was during the "forward tees" thing. ;-)

I think from outside 6800 yards I'd have to vote for 6, perhaps? Maybe I'll change my vote later on…

5 for me.   I've had several with 4.   But I'd say that on an average day I am in the 0-2 range.

3 several times, and what I remember the most from those rounds are the ones that I missed.

Birdies aren't really my thing, but my record is two, and I've done that three times, most recently last month en route to a personal-best 81.

Five a couple times in the past ten years.  The most common total is 0 or 1. This year my best is 4 birdies/eagles in a round.

Up until just this year my record was only 3 (that I could remember).  I've had 4 this year and just had five a couple of weeks ago.

So, 5. :)

I had never had more than 4 until this year.  Had 5 a couple months ago, played the back 9 with 4 birdies, 4 bogeys and a double, plus 1 birdie on the front 9.

I've had 9 birdies in a round last year.  This year, I had a round with 7 birdies.

Timely post. During my last round, I had 4 birdies through 10 holes to match my personal best. I felt pretty confident that I could get to 5 and maybe 6 birdies, but my swing completely fell apart after that and I only had one par and no birdies coming in.

My final score was an 87. By my math, that means I was 19 over for the other 14 holes. Ugh.....

My best is only 1 in a round, but i've only got 2 or 3 in my lifetime.  Hoping that changes in the near future.

1 birdie.

Seriously.

Ugh, golf is friggin hard.

Although I'm scratching my head on this still because I'm making a lot more GIR now but I can almost never convert them to birdies. I feel like my putting is drastically improved but I can't make it in the friggin hole. Tap-in pars are a VERY common thing for me now.

I've had two "miracle" 9-hole rounds in my life.  One included a birdie and an eagle in a JV high-school match.  And then last year I brought my "vintage set" to the local course (Ping Zing 2's and a Pal 4 BeCu putter) and made three straight birdies and a 4th one two holes later.  But I still have yet to break par over an entire 9-hole round.

The key to my 4-birdie day was the fact that on almost every one I left myself exactly 150 yards to the pin from the fairway and, well, I guess I had my 7 iron grooved that day.

@iacas, can you go back and add a "0" option?

I mentioned this in the Post Your Rounds thread.  I had six last weekend, on my way to a sterling 73.  Three bogeys and two doubles, it was an interesting day.  Lots of circles and squares.

Do we really need a "0" option?  That would literally mean "I've never had a birdie," which I think just about anyone who has been playing enough to get on an internet forum has had, even if just by accident.
