HAHAHAHAHA!!!  Augusta loves their fans.

Craft beer? Augusta is really changing with the times :-D. Last time I was there (2015) the only beer options were Coors Original, Stella, and Miller Lite. It was the first Coors Original I had seen/consumed in at least 10 years....and I remembered why shortly after taking my first sip.

Every time someone posts this, someone should counter post with pricing during the Masters and normal pricing. Like:

Regular

Masters Week

Hotel

$100/night

$200/night

Gas

$2.5/gal

$3/gal

Car Rental

$100/day

$200/day

But hey, I'm saving chump change on food at the Masters.

BTW - The spelled caramel wrong!

Or maybe it's popcorn from Carmel, California. :-P

So, @Golfingdad and I were wondering in the other thread, how careful do you think everyone is gonna be while marking their balls this week?!

I know this is meant in jest, but I do think it will be interesting to see how the issue is covered during the telecasts.  The Masters has historically been somewhat controlling over what is said on air during "their" tournament.  Will we see some camera close-ups of players marking and replacing their balls?  Will we hear discussions of the players' "cavalier attitude" (my words, not anyone else's) toward proper marking of their ball?  Will the Masters essentially muzzle the announcers?  I'm certain that if this was any other tournament, we'd have lots of discussions and video close-ups, but at the Masters I'm not so sure.

Interesting point Dave.  One thing that the Masters offers that other tournaments don't (as much) is online streaming of multiple groups and holes.  I know that they (The Masters high-lords) control every aspect of the broadcasts but you wonder if there will be a few different streams that might show a closeup or two...and you know that there are thousands of people watching those streams.  It only takes one.

That being said, I think everyone will be very aware and bit more careful about marking their ball.

No doubt in my mind, everyone will be super-careful.  I wonder if Phil's comments were intended to have exactly that effect.  Maybe he's seen this a handful of times, and he's doesn't want to be the bad guy, the guy who informed his FC that the FC needed to assess himself a penalty stroke. His comments will have the effect of forcing every player to be careful to mark and replace properly.  Anyway, I sincerely hope that there's no controversy at this year's Masters, and that its all decided by regular golf stuff.

Now to the more important stuff, I wonder what kind of Bar-b-que they make around Augusta.  I'm not wild about the mustard-based sauce you get in lots of eastern SC, I might have to go with a club sandwich and a craft beer.

I'm not sure what BBQ it is.  Judging by the pictures I've seen I'd say it's not the eastern/vinegar or mustard-based one.  Not heavy on BBQ sauce though.

Just go with the pimento cheese sandwich (or two) and a beer (or two).  The sandwich is delicious.  @iacas is nuts.

I think its full guaranteed. No extra bets.

more accurately: does it look like this contest is going to fill, or will it come up 10-15% short?

in Guaranteed GPPs, overlay (i.e. contest doesn't come close to filling) is really beneficial to the player especially in single-entry contests.

Oh, ok. I thought you were talking about extra bets.  No, I don't think its going to get there. They just started doing golf. I feel like it might be as much as 25% short.
