There wasn’t a ‘Hell No’ so I voted ‘no.’ It’s the same concept for me as to why I watch more PGA than LPGA. But I’d certainly rather watch an LPGA event over this garbage.

Couldn't have said it better.

NCAA is about as low on the skill level I go. I enjoy watching players compete when winning means something. A bunch of multimillionaire non golfers playing on a lark? not for me.

While there is not a Ryder Cup format they already do several tournaments a year with non-golf sport professionals.  I don't generally watch unless I am not busy with anything.

to add to this.   I would literally watch my friends play a tournament if it was on TV.

I'd watch it, why not? If for no other reason than watching these freakish athletes hack it up might be somewhat humorous. But then again I like the Pebble Beach Pro Am, and there's no way it could be worse than ShotMakers.

At first I thought it meant a Ryder cup style tournament playing football and basketball, and I thought it would be interesting to see how they changed the format from normal games to fit the Ryder cup style competition.

Then I realized it meant that they were going to golf. I don't watch the AT&T Pro-Am with all the celebrities because it's like watching myself (or someone worse than me) golf on television. If I wanted to see that, I could just go to the local course and play a round and I'd get to both watch similar caliber players and play myself.

Yeah that doesn't set the bar very high.

Yes.

I always enjoy the Celebrity tournament at Lake Tahoe.  I do like (on a limited basis) watching other professional athletes golf.  I like the chances that a few clanks and duffs might occur!
