Four shots can easily fade in 19 mph winds, but I still think one in the two last groups will win it. There are a few good players within 5 shots, and someone might be able to shoot something low. Could be an interesting Sunday.

If the wind kicks up as they are predicting, my guess is it will not bode well for likes of Rory. Even though Rory, Tiger and Fleetwood are the ones I would like to see win, Rory’s chance will be lower in windy conditions due to his typically high ball flight.

I feel like all signs are pointing towards another Spieth win. That said, I've been seriously impressed by Schauffele and particularly Kisner over the last few days. Things I have loved about this Open so far:

  1. Packed leaderboard
  2. The fact that it isn't a bombers' paradise, even when it looked like it would be.
  3. Rose going from the cut-line to T-13
  4. Woods being on fire yesterday - he just has the ability to move the needle that nobody else does
  5. Every day playing differently - first day being hot and fiery, second having wind and rain, third being perfect, fourth definitely more windy.

Would love to see someone go really low and win from the pack, but just can't see it happening. Money on Spieth, although I'd love pretty much anyone else to get it. I have nothing against Jordan as a person, I just like different winners!

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

What's in the bag: Callaway X2 Hot Driver, Titleist 915F 3 wood, X2 Hot 3 Hybrid, 3, 5-AW Apex Pro irons, 54*, 58* Cleveland RTX, Odyssey Versa 1 Putter

Remember, the last two winners here have come from ten back and six back.

I'm hoping today's winner comes from four back. ;-)

But I wouldn't bet on it. I don't think Tiger plays all that well in the wind (a sentiment voiced by the Live From crew again last night).

So far the wind doesn’t seem too bad. It’s breezy but not gusty and not the cold wind that accompanies a front . Those are the worst...like 2015 St Andrews. This is more of a warmer wind, which doesn’t tend to get as gusty. Still difficult, though.

I'm completely prepared for El Tigre to offer up a disappointing 71 today full of missed putts and a few overly aggressive bogeys where he finishes T8 and fails to get inside the OWGR top 50.

Erik Van Royen making a move up the leaderboard. The only thing more popular than a Tiger win would be perhaps Van Royen holding up the claret jug.

How so?

I think he's being facetious.

Especially since he couldn't even spell the guy's name correctly.

Sorry I thought it was so obvious I was kidding that I didn’t have to put the “sarcasm” flags up. But yeah, with all the buildup today he or Chappell will prolly end up being the champion.

I don't anything about him so I thought maybe he had a really good story or something.

Exactly my thought. Seems like an eternity to get back the broadcast. And your post about Tiger shooting a 71 with some aggressive bogeys and missed putts seems all to accurate. I really want to see a 62.

Gotta make that putt damn it. I don't wanna see that gentle tap with ball caressing the edge and lip out. This putt will set the mood.
