Demand slow play penalties be assessed! Or is that only for the ladies? Hmmm.

Is anyone out of position?

Right, so then no, they could have the same exact policy and nobody would be punished.

As long as the groups are in position and delays are caused by driveable holes and general course design, there is nothing to penalize.

Weather predictions looks like they’ll get fair conditions. Maybe some rain tomorrow, but the wind won’t be much more than today. It’s enough to make a difference, but it won’t blow their socks off (JT would have to put some on first).

I played this morning, and one guy said that if our course looked like th OC, our superintendent would get fired. I really like the natural look of the links courses, and wish there was a bit more brown on American courses.

I do, too, as long as that browning isn't dirt.  At a lot of courses I play, brown turf is likely dirt or bare spots, not what you're seeing at St. Andrew's.

No watering on the fairways. And no desire to pay for it either. Here is Banchory GC in 2017 ( Normal summer conditions), an inland course but sandy soil.

And here it is the next year(drought conditions)

The greens were in good nick though.

Our caddies on the OC said they want them brown there unlike our American fairways.  I though that was interesting

AGREE - Seems pretty apparent, but there a still the slow play grumblers that won't care.  Once the cut happens, they could space the start times more to align the pace since there isnt really a need to load the course up after that.

Tiger.....he's not really limping more than his regular gait.  He looks so much better.  Too bad he's just not playing well this weekend.  I'm still rooting for Rory - but one day doesn't make a tournament.

watching from work.  glad it's streaming.

Got a tee time today at 12:45 eastern time but I'm glad I'm able to watch at least Tiger finish his round even though it's painful to see how he's played yesterday and today.

I'm glad I remembered to turn on the TV this morning when I woke up so I could see Tiger finish.  I wish the same would be true for Sunday.

Rahm in with a birdie on the last... and a round with only one five on the scorecard (and nothing higher).

He did look better. Was also able to crouch rather than bend forward like an old person when looking at putts. Quite far from having a chance at winning though.

With a good amount of courses in Ohio, things start to get brown right now. We are in a drought condition in NE Ohio. Things are getting firm and grass is getting browner.

Rory and DJ in the same group tomorrow would be something. I wonder how much friendly chatter there would be.

They are both old cats of the game and they've got their hands full to worry about all that. Not that they were too chummy prior to LIV anyway.

    • Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
    • Got a rare birdie on #18 Par 5.  Drive was good and left me in range of the green.  I was @ 210 from the center and needed @ 180 to clear a hazard area.  Green had bunkers lest, right and on back. had been struggling and most shots were short so I took the 225 club figuring back of green hit well. i did hit it well, @ 229 per SS and dead on—kind at the pin.  Ended up @ 1 foot off the back in short rough and lucky for me it was a back pin placement.  Chipped about 15 feet leaving a 3 feet putt for par which I sunk.
    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
    • That truly had me laughing. Thanks If anyone is interested Sun Day Red is live. I clicked on the hats, seem they are sold out. Shorts 130 bucks, shirts 120, everything seems to be sold out already, at least from what I clicked on. 130 for shorts, I'll pass.
