I don't play it much, but in my opinion, it goes further than you would expect, it is very easy to hit out of the rough, and gets up in the air quick with a normal swing. You don't have to do anything different that you wouldn't do with a 5-iron.

Thanks for response. I have a few Exotics now and really like them. One thing with Tour Edge is the fact that their shaft tips do not fit across the line. They will fit all heads within a line, but no crossovers. Makes it difficult to swap out shafts. OTOH, I am not really fond of adjustables anyway now that I know just how they work.

And updated again - New Irons

Updated again - for posterity - Blue updates vs last update from a long time ago actually

  • Driver - Epic Subzero
  • 3w - Epic Subzero
  • 3h - Rogue
  • 5h - Rogue
  • 5i-PW (Still the Mizuno MP15s)
  • GW (50) - Mizuno JPX (seriously, why would a wedge have a cavity back...)
  • SW/LW - (54/58) Mack Daddy 2
  • Putter - Ghost Spider S
  • Bushnell V2 Laser RF
  • other stuff

I think the next change will be after the irons wear out - I'll step towards more GI type likely (everyone's doing it).  It'll be awhile.  A putter would be only if there's a great deal on a very specific putter, though I think face centered would be an improvement based on trying out stuff occasionally...

How are you liking your putter, I’ve been thinking of getting one of those I like the weight

I like it a lot, the weight is what made me want to try it and with the four alignment lines make it very easy to line up your put.

Aside from golf clubs, which everybody has, I have twelve tees, eleven ball markers, ten pencils, nine repair tools, eight coins, seven score cards, six rubber bands, five candy bar wrappers, four head covers, three feet of rope, two towels...and an old mayonnaise jar with holes drilled in the top.  And rain gear...regular size...not the eight tiny kind.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."
