Yeah, I wish we had more in the local mountains. It's been over three years since we had anything at all. Thus, I am golfing.

If we were on a skiing forum, I would be one of the people crying about the lack of even any packed powder (Called ice anywhere else).

The skiing equivalent of @David in FL would be telling me that a round trip fare to Salt Lake is only $ and to stop complaining.

First day out at home course and even though the course wasn't in great shape, it was nice to be out there.

Just saw on Facebook that Cyprian Keyes, one of my favorite courses in the area, is opening on Friday. The course conditions pretty much everywhere are probably a few weeks away from me wanting to spend that kind of cash on a round though.

I hear you. I'm in Michigan and in a similar boat. They said some of the municiple courses are opening, but I'm hesitant to go even though they're cheap...And, damn it, we're supposed to get freezing rain tomorrow anyway.

As far as MA goes, I got to get out at the Meadows at Peabody yesterday, 20$ for 9 with cart (which was shocking)... It was damp in spots, but really not too bad, not as bad as I expected, and I only saw one 2x2 patch of snow in a shaded bunker.  All regulations greens and tees... The depression may be lifting.

its not my club anymore owners wanted my salary for themselves. but they are opening this weekend not sure what the rate will be.

That's a beautiful course, but without a superintendent how are they going to keep the course maintained?

I would imagine that a mediocreintendent could keep it somewhat sufficiently maintained?  Perhaps even a betterthanaveragebutnotquitesuperintendent will keep it in really good condition?

they own another course so they are making the other superintendent ( he has been with the company from the start) try to do both. the owners and gm have been cutting budgets alot . shity part is niether one of them need the money.

It's finally warming up in Calgary.....nice to see rain icon used on Sunday forecast instead of snow.....and 22 degrees on Tuesday
