Winter Depression Thread

Went out and played yesterday. Started at 37° and ended at 42°. It was great. The next group didn't tee off until we had played holes.

My friend, John, and I only played 9 holes because of John's hip, but 9 holes and then lunch is paradise to me.

Oh, yes, we really didn't keep score, because we decided to hit a few mulligans, but I did have a birdie and several pars without a mulligan.

I love this game!

It is going to be a little nippy in Philly this weekend, but sunny. If the wind isn't up, I may play Sunday since the Eagles/Cowboys is a night game.

My band is playing a Christmas part at a really nice country club in town tomorrow night, but no golf.

This has to be the most depressing thing I've ever read in this thread.

Well, actually, now that I think about it, at least you're playing music again :-) .

This is our last gig of the year. Kinda depressing. I would take my clubs and see if they would let me get 9 in before dinner, but my SUV is packed to the top with drums and PA.

What, no passenger seat?

My 44 degree day has been downgraded to 40 degrees tops. I did get enough done this week to go, but any wind will make it unpleasant. Going to be a game time decision.

Have you ever been to Chippers indoor golf facility in Eaton, OH? I'm gonna have to check this place out.

It's a bit off the beaten path for me, but when it really gets cold it might be the only alternative. My nearby range touted heated tees, but they were a bit of a disappointment. Just looking at the stuff online, my only real concern about the place would be a possible hard sale on lessons. Still surely worth a visit.

While you guys inear Los Angeles are mopping up the water this weekend, Chicago is  going above 50F with overcast skies,  No snow on the ground, but the ponds are still frozen, Just warm enough to go play.

Oh, I'd definitely play in that weather.  I'm taking my clubs home with me to NYC during the week of Christmas and New Years to play some golf.  As long as it's not windy, I'll play in 25* weather.
