Local forecast here is for snow, then sleet, and possible freezing rain for the next few days. Buy hey it is sunny and mid-20's degF outside right now so wahoo from the window looking out. (Driving home tonight and tomorrow will be another matter all together)

But the golf show/expo is in town in a couple of weeks, so that will make for a nice distraction. Only bummer to that is on that Saturday we're driving south to Illinois for a grandkid competition, so my golf show option is now a Friday after work. Hope it doesn't snow that day.

We're getting more snow today.. really want it to end. Maybe I'll move to BC where I can golf year round.

Real estate and just about everything else is crazy expensive here but ....... we have days like last weekend.

Can we get back to complaining about winter?

Sorry ......... back to staying on topic and complaining about winter.

On both Sunday and Saturday we had frost delays.

On Saturday it was for 1 hour and 15 minutes so our tee time was moved back from 8:12 to 9:30 am.

On Sunday it was for 30 minutes so our tee time was moved back from 8:30 to 9:00 am.

By the afternoon we only got to about 60 degrees in the sunshine.

A bit too cold for the grass to have significant growth so the greens were not cut on Saturday just the dew was rolled off. Some of the greens were cut on Sunday but they are still a bit bumpy.

Also the crew did not rake the fairway bunkers only the green side ones.

Damn winter when is spring going to get here !!!!!!!!!

He is like a stripper showing up to a sex addicts support group.  If it wasn't for him, nobody would know that there are people who can play golf right through the winter though, and those of us who can't afford it are suffering, but those who can aren't. It is good to have our nose rubbed in it, and often. So post away!

Ah. 3 to 5 more inches on Sunday gave us 6-8 on the floor in the good ole Miami Valley . The temps are supposed to spike up to mid-40s tomorrow. It will rain like a bitch and then freeze back over.

Going to dig out the old Bauers and skate to work on Thursday.

Hate to be the bad guy in a thread like this, but my son and I have tee time Sunday morning. The temp will be in the 50s and sunny in central Virginia.

    • Day  3 (4 May 24) - Easy pitch day with 9i in the backyard.  Worked on staying smooth thru impact, keeping shots to 20yds or less.
    • From what I’ve read, it was in the manufacturing process and how the covers were nicking pretty easy.  He has had to resource his factory as the one used earlier is now a TM owned facility.  Initial reports seem to indicate the redesign is going to be a winner…
    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
