I agree that Paige could have looked a bit better on the cover.

I didnt recognize her at first. My wife likes two LPGA golfers, Paige who ironically isnt on the LPGA tour, and Lexi Thompson.

For my wife, who thinks I am overly obsessive with golf and sometimes despises it, to recognize Paige and follow golf digest on Instagram, I think is good for the game. She will never swing it like either of those girls, but the fact that she at least watches and follows them on IG and Facebook makes her want to hit balls on the range with me.

The bigger question is why Golf Digest, as the publication of note for a sport that is widely played by both sexes, only features a woman on its cover maybe once a year, and even then, it's for eye candy rather than that player's accomplishments on the course.

It is kind of lame, I get why they do it, but are guys really buying a golf mag to look at the babe on the cover? no, they need to wake up, also plenty of women are into golf, by doing stuff like this they just alienate them, it's dumb.

And as far as hot babes go Paige is not that hot, just OK, I'll enjoy her "tips" I'm sure but I'd rather ogle a real LPGA player

This is the sixth issue with a woman on the cover since 2013, but there's a five-year gap to the next-most recent woman on Golf Digest's cover (Lorena Ochoa in August 2008). But those six women include a TV personality (Holly Sonders), a model with no apparent connection to golf (Kate Upton), a player's wife (Paulina Gretzky), plus Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, and now Spiranac. On one hand, at least they're trying.

The "future" cover is weird, lol.  I don't what else to say about that one.

I was all set to be ruffled by the Lexi cover because, some reason, I think of her as a kid even though I'm sure she's over 18 now. 

But I didn't find the cover distasteful or risque.  I don't know , ,maybe I'm desensitized but it seemed fine to me.  Not sexual.

Not that Paige isn't a nice person. I did watch her play with Mark Crossfield and Martin Chuck on Youtube. Funny vid. Worthy of a Golf Digest Cover? No. How about Lydia Ko or Brooke Henderson?

Golf Digest is aware that we have unlimited porn literally at our fingertips, right? Put an LPGA player on the cover, absolutely, but just putting eye candy is dumb. It's a golf magazine, not Hustler.

It's a bad magazine anyway, so I don't really care. But it is dumb.

Maybe they asked some other higher ranked LPGA members to be on the cover and they chose not to given the concept.  A provocative cover photo might not bring them the type of attention and opportunities they want at this point.

I don't think they would have done this type of photo with Brooke. GD has been a rag for quite a while.

I've been thinking about it and I know what bothers me about this picture.  Her back pocket!  What can you put in there?  Nothing!  Is GD saying the future is going to be a world filled with decorative pockets?  If so - I'm just saying right now . .I'm *not* on board.

      Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.

      I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.

      Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
