I worked on my mapping drill from evolvr for about 15 mins this morning.  Im having trouble getting my hands far enough forward at impact when I make a full swing without the pauses.  Im also trying to get my thighs closer together on my follow through.

Putted on a 3 slope from different distances ... put a line on the ball and tried to keep the line straight when I hit it on a flat surface (I assume this is the best way to tell if I hit straight???) Also work on evolvr drills (thanks for the reminder @Jakester23

Take your pick for today. Range with mom, but still had time to practice pitching, hit about 15 balls at the range (usual drill, see above), then some chipping and putting. Thinking about playing this afternoon...

Played 18 holes with a friend of mine. I scored lower than him for the first time. Made my first par. Overall played well (for me) but I definitely need to work on my short game.

5 minutes in the yard today (more like 15).  Fit in during some yard work.

From my video session, I can see progress with what I am doing (centered backswing-right elbow).  Just trying to solidify the feelings.

Was feeling a bit under the weather today but I managed to peel myself off the couch to hit a few chips and pitches in the backyard for about 10 minutes.

I'm out of town at my grandparents house this weekend. My grandfather is the one who first got me into golf. Today I spent a couple hours doing my drills to get my weight forward and then hit a bunch of balls while he gave me feedback. It was a blast. He loves golf and has been playing for at least my whole life and he is thrilled that his grandchildren are picking up the sport. He's a bit under the weather right now but hopefully he recovers soon because he is one of my favorite playing partners.

Spent about 45 minutes out on the net today, working on my pitch and full swing feels. Started with a few pitches and felt pretty comfortable with that so I moved onto the full swing. Once I got into a little groove with that, I added in a pitch for every 2 or 3 full swings just to mix it up towards the end of the session.

15 mins of chipping, trying to get used to the new wedge. Few driver + 4 hybrid (with a sponge ball) in the backyard. Feeling calm swinging the club last few weeks. I have always swung through the ball with a little anxiety before this.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
