I shot a 44 today on my first nine holes since May 19th because of recovery from shoulder tendonitis, with two birdies, and it was well below my handicap so I am quite pleased. :-)

"Thanks, short game."

An ugly 10 holes with missed nGIR (3 more than my average), but still shot 1 stroke under my average. Chip in from 20 yards helped. Sinking 10 footer on first hole helped.  Having zero three-putts helped.

Lot's of really good shots- two mulligans could have turned a solid 70 (+1) into a really good 66 with only 1 made birdie putt outside 2 feet.

I’ve always been a big fan of Edel and never really liked Pins and Aces. It seems like a brand created by frat bros from what I’ve seen. I reached out to them last week asking if they’d were going to be coming out with new wedges soon since I’m in the market and they responded that they’ll be coming out in February. I wonder how this will impact Edel in the long run.
    • I have two words for you .... Shotscope. .... Wait, maybe that's just one word? 🤷‍♂️
    • The Wiccan woman from the afore mentioned boutique malt shop just called to tell me that Marathon times have improved by more than 20% over the last 100 years.  They should make the marathon longer.
    • Par is just a guideline, a reference for a hole or a course. At the end of the tournament the player that took less strokes to hole out is the winner, no matter how much it is against the Par of the course.  35 under par is not desirable? then change a few holes par.. make all reachable par 5's as par 4's.  Every hole below 350 is a par 3.. This will make those 7200 courses play "harder" with a par of 66..67.  (Ridiculous, let's just appreciate the amazing game this players have).
    • Didn't Mike Souchak (and possibly others as I'm just going by memory, but I'm pretty sure Souchak was first) shoot a 257 years ago?  It wasn't on a par 73, so it wasn't 35 under, but still.
