PGA cancels the Grand Slam of Golf

I don't want to open the potential Pandora's Box that is Trump, but it's all his fault.

(I would probably not be watching anyway, opting to be out catching my last rounds of golf before the snow flies.)

They should cancel it permanently.

The only meaningless events that interest me are the old Shells WWOG matches.  They should revive that series.

21, now 22 year old, Jordan Spieth should just be declared honorary winner of all things golf. Though the talking heads are starting to push him off his throne now that Day is winning, and winning big. They have Day penciled in to win the next 4000 PGA events.

I think they signed a five year deal with The Donald, so they have three more years at Trumps course unless they cancel those too.  It will be interesting to see how the PGA handles it next year.

I too miss those WWOG matches. They were fun to watch. It's too bad they won't do that now with today's players.

I used to watch it. In the dead cold of winter, nice to see Hawaii on the screen, but now, there's tons of slow video in HD of warm places on YouTube plus I there's plenty of past tournaments to watch if one gets a hankering for golf.

Because how hard would it be to find a course that could accommodate 1 tee time for 2 days (a Tues/Wed), a few hundred spectators, say 3 tower cams and 2 mobile cams?
