I don't even know what to say about this...

Quote

Though the new apparel represents a radical departure from traditional golf designs, the players were enthusiastic about Nike's vision

"I wear joggers every day, pretty much," Finau said. "To have the opportunity to wear them on the golf course is pretty amazing."

Patrick Rodgers said that "these young guys, myself included, we're not afraid to be different. When you see guys that are having success on the course and who are not afraid to stand out a little bit, it makes an impact."

In other words, don't be surprised if you start seeing joggers and high tops at your own course

Visible ankles with pants is just dumb looking. Wear some socks at the very least.

I already do the Pro Combat tights under golf shorts so ahead of the trend.

Probably would like the look more if they weren't standing there arms crossed gangsta rap style. Though with cardigans and old man jackets it look more 80's than modern. I'll wait for the Under Armor version of a Members Only jacket.

I'd rock it but then again I also golf in a flat bill Puma hat so take that for what it's worth. I'm also young, in shape and dress somewhat trendy off the course.

I work at Nike (not in Golf).  Looking forward to some sample sales in 6-9 months!  Don't quite get the total disdain.  I mean, of course you don't have to want to wear those clothes, but why should anything except loose-ish polos and polyester or nylon blend slacks be considered ridiculous on the golf course?

On the shorts with tights thing, that's totally a trend Nike's pushing hard across the board in men's athletic clothes.  Don't know who started that trend, but it's all over the place here, both in the product and in the clothes you see male employees wearing not just at the gym but just around campus for work as well.  Personally I don't like that look that much.  I'm actually more partial to simply tights (for working out, not for daily life), which Nike's also pushing for men's running clothes.  I haven't gotten on that train myself, but I think it looks better than the tights under shorts thing.

Nike is probably just countering Puma here, gotta have a line to rival Fowler's outfit. This is probably off course wear too. Will golf clubs across the world have to revise their dress requirements?

Too old to really take some of these items on. High tops, shorts, hyperwarm golf tights and flat bill would probably get me laughed out of our club.  I am not one that tries to stand out in a crowd with my avant-garde fashion sense.  Mark me down as one of the sheeple when it comes to clothes.

Clothing that make you more comfortable playing golf will succeed.  Clothing that is worn solely to be different or make a statement won't typically last.

I can see young kids wearing the tights outfit so they can wear shorts when its cold. It's not for me, but I could understand it.

The other outfits are again not so much for me, but I could see a trendy person wearing it. Maybe off the course. I often find all of this kind of clothing does not fit someone like myself well.

My only complaint is, is the shirt Tony Finau is wearing a tee shirt? Probably not ideal golf apparel then.

I wear slim fit pants (have been for the past 5 years), in shape, and dress somewhat trendy already or maybe even ahead of the curve as some might say.  So I would definitely wear them.

I think its a good look and nice to see some fresh designs for the golf world.  Not everything has to be polos and slacks.

I agree.  Let some individuality come through.  Let's not be lemmings.

I'll pass on the look but understand younger guys will probably like it.  Last thing we need is fat old guys wearing tights on the golf course.  :-(

I don't think I mind the shoes. But I'd wear them with traditional length pants.

The pants.. Hell no. But I'd love to wear that polo with the blade collar. Looks really comfy!
