Ditto. I prefer to see mostly white, but I don't adjust it if I don't get it right or forget or something.

This.

Put in on the tee or on the green however. Makes no difference.

I don't really pay that much attention to it, but I will roll it over it my mark is facing me - don't know why but I don't like that look.

I am intrigued by the soccer markings on balls someone was using (I think it is T. Watson), I can see using them as a putting aide, also I'd be interested if they allow you to see the spin better on shots, especially chips.thumbs_Callaway-Truvis-Golf-Balls-Back.p

Driver: As much white as possible but it's something I really don't care too much about

Iron off the box: I really don't care. I step behind my ball, know my yardage, find my line with the shaft, pick a spot on the grass, address up to that line and square the face and my shoulders from there. Has nothing to do with the ball. If anything, I'm making a swing "as if the ball isn't there." If you know what I mean.

Putting: As much white as possible. Always.

Never even thought about it. I play it however it is placed.

I've never even bothered to check. I just tee the ball up how ever it's oriented when I take it out of my pocket.

When I putt I like to look at no markings at all.

Same here. No preference on the tee, but I prefer no markings visible while putting.

If there is a logo, I orient it to the spot my club contacts the ball.  No logo, then it doesn't matter.  Just a habit and no real reason why I do that.

This is VERY important.

The ball needs to go ON TOP of the tee.  Other options really seem to just mess with my repeatability

(there's a seam?  it's visible?  hmmm, how about that)

I also remember that when the ProV1 was first introduced, there was supposedly a noticeable advantage toward hitting it with the "seam" vertical and aligned at the target, something to do with the dimple pattern.  I think that advantage was eliminated in the next edition, if it ever really existed.

I was thinking about this when I was marking my last sleeve of Chromesofts as I noticed that the printing wasn't always in the same place relative to the dimples and I wondered if there was any benefit or disadvantage to lining things up using the logo.  I guess not.

I prefer to see just white side of the ball off the tee.  For putting I don't really care - I used to line up the logo with my line but after testing it for a while decided it didn't really make enough difference.

I used to draw a line on my ball to help me line up putts and I would tee the ball up with it lined up to my aim line to help me aim the club.

I stopped doing that when I found out there is more to swinging a driver than where you aim the clubface. Now I just put the ball on the tee however it comes out.

I just put it on the tee. Don't pay attention to what's up down or sideways

For whatever reason I usually tee the ball with the logo up - just what I am used to.

Mostly I will try to line up the 'putting' line on the ball in the general direction I am aiming. It doesn't need to be perfect just give me a general idea of the direction.

I have many quirks that I deal with while golfing (certain amount of tees in pocket, only white, ect..) but when it comes to teeing up a ball.  I put it down and let it rip.  I need less to worry about when making my swing than if Im lined up correct to how I set up the ball.

I use the Truvis balls exclusively now.  One of the things, that drew me to the ball, was the visual effects.  I don't really use it as a putting aide.  But, you can really see the spin on chips and short pitches; and I like the visual while it is rolling on the green.

I mark my ball with a thick black line that goes about halfway around.  I line it up with my direction of ball flight.  Or maybe I should say my *intended* direction.  I use the black line to line up putts also.

I know a lot of you, probably don't think much of this on the tee box, but here it goes.

When we putt, a lot of us probably set the seam of the ball toward our intended line.

But I was wondering how the community tees up their ball, seam pointed on the intended line, pole (logo)up, poles on the target line, poles straddling the target line, or any old way it will sit on the tee?

So it gives me something focus on, I draw an A with a circle around it above the logo so I can remember to keep my head steadier, so logo up for me.

How do you guys and gals orient your ball on the tee? This is NOT a question of tee height.

Thanks.

Doesn't matter.  I don't worry about it on tee or green.

I write my wife and daughters' names on all my golf balls and I either line that up, or the putting line to where I want to hit off the tee.  I tend to have an issue aiming a tee shot to the right where my lower and upper body are misaligned and I hit a big draw or hook, so I mainly use it for that and as a general aid.

i tend to have problems with shots that are not "straight" in my mind.  Such as when the shape of the tee box doesn't point you where you should go or I have a shot that is at an angle to how the hole lines up.  So any way I can neutralize that is a help
