As long as the courses are open and the wind isn't too bad, I will play.

In fact, I have tee time for tomorrow even though it is suppose to be high of 40 *F.

We're straddling my lower limit right now. Gray, 40-degrees and a wee breeze. More of the same tomorrow. I may or may not go. We'll see.

40 with wind chill is about my limit.

Did you play last weekend?  I was visiting my folks in MD and the wind on the course we played got to about that point.

I did.  Last Friday we were out on Chesapeake Bay, so I played River Marsh GC.  Then on Sunday we were back home, and I played Needwood GC, one of my regular courses.  It was actually pretty nice out, around 50, no wind and the sun was out.

The weather in the winter time can be kind of variable, so I can usually make it out a couple times per month on average.  Last year I played most of the winter, until we got hammered with snow towards the end of February.

'50's with a light wind, mid 40's if there's no wind.

Under armor, fleece and wind shirt is my max clothing wise.

I won't play once it gets too wet this time of year either. Pulling balls out of muddy plugs gets old.

If I'm battling the elements too much, I'm not really playing golf anyway, just kind of bunting it around.

The golf courses and ranges here in Ottawa, Canada closed between Halloween and Remembrance Day (Nov 11) since the grounds are starting to freeze over. My personal deadline is at Halloween. I'm in hibernation until April or early May.

Suicide doors... Sweet. You'll bake with a propane heater in it.

I'm with the crowd that lets the course determine when I can and can't play. Last year there were 3 times when I was the only one to play on that course for the given day--too many sissies around here.  It tends to get soggy around here during the winter months so I move over to the only course around here that drains well.  I find that winter golf presents some unique challenges that keep that game enjoyable.  I dress in layers and walk to keep warm.  And these keep my hands toasty warm--which is the most important thing when it comes to playing golf through the winter.

Played yesterday in the mid 40s with some wind. It wasn't bad once you got going.

Went out and played 18 this morning. It was 25*F at tee off. Didn't get much higher as the cloud cover came in around 6th hole.

Still great to be out. Beats sitting at home doing nothing.

not enough snow to go snowboarding.

Well, at least when it's below freezing, the water hazards in front of the par 3's are frozen over. But, this was back when I was much younger.

Now days, 45 degrees is my limit. And I would (have to) really, really want to play to go out when it's that cold.

Looks like I'm done for 2016, weather doesn't appear to be warming up any time soon and most of my playing partners have already headed south.  I was hoping for a 2015 December but that doesn't appear to be happening.

Mizuno is introducing new technology with their JPX One fairway woods and drivers. The new tech for golf but used tech for Mizuno since it is found in their baseball side of the business, is Nanoalloy. Nanoalloy is a microscopic polymer layer put on the face of their titanium driver. What this layer does is change the elasticity of the driver face and increases ball speed over a larger area of the clubface. Adding a bit more elasticity with this layer, they are conserving the golf balls energy from the impact.  Due to USGA rules, this technology falls under their coating regulations. Which add a correction factor to the ball speed testing done for conforming golf clubs. This rule was introduced when Taylormade went to their carbon clubface. Which I didn't know existed.  I am sure that center strikes are at the USGA limits like all other drivers. This has my interest. I am always, "window shopping", for new golf equipment 😉
