When does the PGA Tour season start for you?

PGA Tour Starts When for You?

For me, it's the old Bing Crosby Clambake at Pebble Beach! For more years than I can say, this is the tournament that gets me all horny for a new year of golf!

And yes, it's more the venue than the tourney itself!

I do not like the wrap-around season.  For me the start should be the Tournament of Champions, although I may not watch or pay attention very much until the Crosby in February.

I used to get so excited for Kapalua and the Sony. Now ... ehhhh.

I'll probably watch some of all the tournaments, but I really start paying attention during the Florida swing.

Normally I would have said in February after the Super Bowl, but this year I am going to say right now.  So fed up with the NFL for a variety of reasons.  

In my bag: All Lefty clubs
Goldsmith driver I built 10 degree reg flex, Orlimar 14 degree 3 wood, 7 wood
Cobra Oversize 3 and 4 iron; Gigagolf Ion Control 5 iron through PW firm flex and 1 inch over with 3 degrees upright

Week after the superbowl. I watch the waste management all but the back nine because it always ends about the same time as kickoff. I record it and watch it monday.

I haven't bought into the wrap around season and think it is the tail wagging the dog to accommodate the FedEx Cup.  If the weather is lousy I will watch almost any golf but to me the new season begins in January.

I'll watch a few of the events leading to the Masters, but the season definitely starts at Augusta.
