The "Big 4" is an inaccurate and arbitrary construct. If we're going to declare an echelon of top professional golfers at the moment, it's probably a six-member group that also includes Stenson and Matsuyama, who are both ahead of Spieth in the world rankings; but the difference between Spieth (ranked 6th) and Day in OWGR points average is nearly identical to the difference between Spieth and Adam Scott (ranked 7th), so there is a clear drop-off after the top six.

Rory - so much power, so much killer instinct. Also the way he sees the world (see his couple of podcasts at No Laying Up) is pretty coo. I like all of them, JD because he's Aussie, Jordan because he's such a model pro and DJ because he just seems so effortlessly good (I know it's not, but it seems so effortless), but Rory for sure is my preferred.

With regard to @Chilli Dipper's comment - I'd rather watch Matsuyama than any of the top 4. Could watch him hit irons all day.

I'll take Rory too.  Although, when Spieth had his putter rolling in 2015, that was must-watch tv.

I enjoy watching Day the most, probably because he's the most relatable to me personally. As for technical beauty, McIlroy.

I can't answer. If I had to, I could only give you who's my least favorite, and that's Speef. I like the others guys' swings much better, and there's something about him that I don't like. I think he's a prolly a douchebag deep down inside.

 

Of the others, I love DJ and Rors. Day not too far behind but he's a slow player and he can go chew aluminum foil for that.

I would say Rory first, DJ second. As for Day and Spieth, I like watching everything but their incredibly slow pre-shot routines.

 If I was being held hostage, and my release depended on picking my favorite, it would have to be Fowler.....I guess. Not so much fore his golf, but because one of my Grandsons tends to dress like him. :-P

I'd say Day then DJ.  I think Rory has the best looking swing of the bunch. I feel like I could sit down have a beer with Day. Seems the most down to earth. I don't know what it is about Spieth but he annoys me.

Before I clicked on this I assumed it meant the big 4 sports of baseball, basketball, football, and hockey.

I'm going to stick with my answer of baseball during the spring/summer, football during the fall/winter, and basketball during that weird time we just had between the Super Bowl and Spring Training.

I'll call them the Big 6 - in my order of liking them (as of today)

Spieth (still riding the 2015 crest)
DJ - dude has it all together (finally) (since 1/1/16 - 5 wins (1 major), 15 top 5's, 20 top 10's, 2 MC's, in 29 events
Rory - just wish he was healthier & playing more ) 2 events so far in 2017
JT - kids on a roll (really needs a major to be on the list)
JD - wish he was healthier, only played 4 events in 2017
Henrick - last of the bunch because he WD'd and was on my fantasy list, great when he plays
Honorable mention - Hideki, kid can really play & seems have put it all together (

I'd love to see the Masters have a leaderboard like we had this weekend with 3 or 4 of the names above all in contention.
