Dear GOD, Im in crisis!!! Love beer and whiskey but dont ask me to pick favorites as I just cant do it anymore. Love cheap stuff most say is crap! I can't help it, I love Dewars white label, 12, and Famous Grouse and Evan Williams black. I also love good ole cheap Canadian Mist!!! As far as beer goes, I know its from Mexico but nothing beats Dos equis Amber...nothing. Although, I also enjoy Blue Moon, Ziegenbock, and Molson when I can find it. Guess I'll just keep drinking what I like, but damn!!!! Lol!

So, I plead no contest!!!

I'm pretty easy: whiskey and coke (provided it isn't Tennessee Honey, that stuff is nasty). Spiced rum is delicious, but I'm allergic to cinnamon so I don't partake.

I'm going to live up to the stereotype here, but there's nothing better than a properly pulled, properly rested pint of Guinness. @stealthhwk I agree with you on the Blue Moon, and I'm also partial to Doom Bar- a nice crisp cornish ale. Delish. Roll on Friday night!

Evan Williams is a good bourbon. I usually have that in my bar. I'm more a J&B scotch man myself for making scotch and sodas but it is extremely similar to Dewars and Cutty Sark.

Favorite drink is probably still that, scotch and club soda.

I like a wide range of beers. Though I hate sour beers and most beers with any sort of fruit flavoring. I prefer porters over stouts. I will drink some IPA's but I am picky on these beers. I pretty much dislike most domestic beers.

As for liqueurs, I like to drink whiskey. I like pretty much all types from Scotch to Bourbon. One of my favorites is Redbreast 12 year cask strength. I like to drink whiskey with a few ice cubes. I also like mixed drinks like Manhattens and Old Fashioned's.

I love Manhattan's. Bullet bourbon is amazing in Manhattan's. I've been enjoying a lot of bourbon barrel beers lately. We have a good selection of micro brews up here.  Central Waters, Founders, Lakefront are some local ones. I also like most of the stuff Dogfish head brews and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel brews.

First off I like anything with Rum in it, as long as I can taste the Rum. Proof doesn't matter. I just like the taste of Rum. Give me a great (Rum) tasting Long Island Tea, and I am a happy camper. Good Scotch is another favorite on occasions.

However, most of my alcohol consumption these days come from any of the 6%+ beers currently on the market. There is a cheaper brand out there, that sells a case of 30 cans for $14.99 that gets most of business. Gives me a great buzz, which is all I am looking for, at a decent price. A few beers at night, sitting with friends, around a camp fire is is pretty nice. Throw in a few Dominicans, and it's all good.

Im a bourbon guy socially and when I'm at home relaxing with a drink. Blanton's or Four roses single barrel  usually.

I dont always drink beer, but when i do, its miller lite from my friends bag cooler.

A good peaty and smoky scotch on the rocks is my favorite drink - Lagavulin, Johnny Walker Double Black, and Laphroig 10 year, are some of my favorites.  I do enjoy an occasional bourbon Manhattan and second the Four Roses Single Barrel (there are a number of variations) as my favorite.

Drink Smithwicks most of the time,I like to try all the craft beers as well.I do like a good brandy or a hot whiskey when I'm feeling under the weather.

Beer is my preference.  A nice inexpensive red wine with a meal. at times.  Not too dry and not sweet.

With beer, I tend to stay away from the heavier styles (stouts, porters, etc..).  I will drink almost anything labeled Lager, Pilsener, Witbier, Blond, Weissbier, or Saison.  I enjoy Bell's Oberon in the summer.

I haven't had any type of liquor in decades.

I love ice cream and used to consume half a cup every other night if not every night and a beer too. Now I am trying out a mix of Grand Marnier + Bailey's Irish Cream shots 2-3 times a week instead to satisfy the sweet tooth and yet consume a little less sugar (shot qty) and alcohol combined.

I like hoppy beers like IPA's, pale ales... I very much enjoy bourbon as well... basil haydens, woodford. But being a teacher I usually stick to natty light and the occasional 6-pack of the pregame session ale from unknown here in town.

Shock top is a gift from the gods. If I'm drinking liquor it's whiskey sours or old fashioned. If I'm trying to party, it's tequila.

Oy, too many to count, but here we go

Beer, I like pale ales and IPAs, but I think the reliance on a ton of hops has been done and overdone.  Proper craft is balance, and too many hops tilt the balance too much.  I buy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for everyday consumption.  I also love a proper pint of Guinness while in Ireland.  I had a great time drinking hand-pulled real ales in Scotland.

I like red wine, but don't know a lot about it.  For value and drinkability, I like Italian wines like Chianti or Montepulciano.  I've recently started buying Argentinian Malbecs, and like that for a slightly richer red.

I like bourbon, but prefer Scotch whisky, with a touch of peat.  Caol Ila is my favorite.

Tanquerray gin and Schweppes tonic make a lovely summer drink, with a nice chunk of lime.

That seems like enough favorites.

Due to an unforeseen toothpaste shortage, I found myself at the market yesterday and picked up a bottle of Sam Adams Boston Lager.

It's easy to forget how good an old standard like that is after you haven't had it in a while.

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
    • IMO-the only thing entertaining was the relay race. Everything else was excruciatingly boring...or just  stupid, like the 14-club thing. Watching guys blade wedges into the water over and over is not at all interesting.
