I just had to find a lie that had some sand underneath to get the bounce of the wedge helping me.  Just a nice and easy swing is the trick.

Technically I fall in the millennial generation so you should not be surprised that I expect at least a participation trophy!! :-D lol Just kidding. I had some improvements tonight but it got dark on me.

Finally managed it this morning - took ages coming, but it was the easy swing that did it. Really had to work on my delivery of loft and getting the toe of the club in the air. I did not realise I was this bad at adding loft...

Doubt I'll get much better than this, so I hope it counts! It was good fun to practise this though - never something I'd normally do at the range!

The part where no one calls a shot that barely gets to chest height a flop shot. You'd just need more of a backswing and it would go twice as high as well imo. Good job anyway.

I suck at this shot so I gave myself a decent lie lol. Tried it off a fairway lie and couldn't get it done, kept hitting it too far.

I tried it a few weeks ago w/camera, and hit some very nice lobs, but couldn't catch up to 'em (except one, which I caught w/my wedge).  Looked at the vids and saw the swings were a little quick for soft flops.  Tried again yesterday out playing w/my son while we were waiting on a fairway to clear.  Didn't have the camera out, though, so was just seeing how close I could get.  Much softer swings/attempts that I hit well, but I didn't give them much of a chase.  Most of the attempts were in the 15' high range (a couple 20'+), so I probably just need to dial it back.  Face was almost open flat; I must just be leaning the shaft on the downswing.  Really high lobs w/my wedges are actually something I hit very well (I guess I have plenty of 'get out of jail' shots to give me practice), just need to practice the true flop, I guess.  I'll try again on cam, soon.
