Moving that finger, I'd guess if I were to do that, and it might be different for others, if I were to do that, I'd think I'd flip at the ball, early extend the lead wrist even sooner. The way he describes it, it's vague how the finger change engages the left side.

Sorry. I've got nothing. None of it made sense or seemed to have anything to do with why you'd move your thumb over the two fingers.

Ok my opinion.  Right thumb is not causing the chicken wing.

Chicken wing as I do it results from lateral slide forward of the torso starting down other cause could be spine angle lacking tilt.

Very diff from turning the shoulders in a circle.

To me it's more a question of swing radius and space then left forearm supination.

When I actively try to roll the left going through I can't hit the broad side of a barn.

You see this quality of tip all over the Internet.  Great to screw people up.

I'm at a bit of a loss here since I couldn't hear a single thing the guy was saying! So, I was resigned to go on visual cues. I have no idea what the right thumb over the other fingers was about. I have heard of instructors telling students to take their right thumb and forefinger completely off the grip, but that was way back in the day! Don't hear that anymore.

Then there was the obvious casting move, and what seemed to be advocating extension of the left arm into impact. This move could get flippy if you get at it too soon

Other than that, I'm lost!

The problem is actually that this type of problem exists everywhere from many instructors… not just "on the Internet."

I tried it.  It's not going to cause me to feel the waggle any more with the left arm and forearm, it doesn't make my left side more engaged (whatever that means), help eliminate a chicken wing? - I doubt it.  It pretty much does nothing except make the club less stable.

I'm calling this B.S.

To eliminate a chicken wing... you'll have at least as much success using my secret remedy... wear your ball cap backwards.

Because in that video segment, the guy who is supposedly the expert is the one giving the horrible, horrible "tip."

So hard to know where to start, but I particularly enjoyed the part where apparently using your left side gives you Tour-player lag.

Maybe he should do a piece on how the position of your third toe causes you to hit a draw next?
