I've played that course. Its a little par 3 track, couple of 4's, running through some cranberry bogs in Carver MA. They do have a bar, not I think alcohol played any role in this.

The best part of this story...the dude was charged with "mayhem"!  I love that.

I just saw the story and this is -- word for word -- almost exactly what I was going to say.

There's likely only a limited number of checkboxes for the officer to use. LOL

I wonder what kind of sentence "mayhem" carries with it? Is there felony mayhem or is mayhem just a misdemeanor?  😜

I recently got a slap on the wrist by my mens' association because I called a guy a sandbagger and he complained I was being mean to him (true story). At least he came away with all his digits, it could have been worse!

I would think "Assault" would qualify.

Battery. Assault is the threat. Battery is the contact.

Oh. Like none of you have ever bit or been bit by anyone?

Clever bunch.

You lot must lead mayhem-free lives.

Threatening someone is assault?  I thought assault involved physical contact.

battery:  the crime or tort of unconsented physical contact with another person, even where the contact is not violent but merely menacing or offensive.

assault: an act, criminal or tortious, that threatens physical harm to a person, whether or not actual harm is done.
