For those that have played Harding...I think you'll agree that Harding is nothing special....the out-of-town green fee is outrageous...especially for a Canuck with the current 35% exchange rate premium...fortunately I was on a company President Club and didn't have to reach in my pocket....I played it twice in early August in 2008..I think we teed off around 730-8am both days...my hand were numb after 9 holes one morning....SF can be damp and cold at times .....even in the summer.

The highlight of Harding for me was over looking the lake on the back 9 to see Olympic in the distance.

Glad to hear the PGA of America is pinching in the fairways and growing the rough....the rough could play really really nasty in the damp & cold in the morning waves.

A PGA Championship in August!  That brings me back to back when ... 

In any case, I'm looking forward to this very much.  I haven't really had a chance to sit down and watch a PGA Championship in a few years, and it looks like I might get a chance to this year.

PGA Championship in August.  Perfect; it's the gold standard.  But the U.S. Open and Masters in late summer will feel all wrong.  No azaleas at Augusta National but some nice looking fall foliage.  Weird.  But it's weird times...

Gonna go with Webb. He won the last time a Major was in a San Fran and Harding is similar to Olympic. Lots of doglegs with high rough. Not a bombers course. Plus he’s tearing it up this year.

Long John won't be participating at in the PGA Championship, and he's just the start of the list

Pretty sweet to see this slob WD along with some other ‘ no reason to play’ guys thus allowing much more deserving players such as HV III play. Good move.

Interesting to see John Daly withdrawing and allowing some alternate the chance to play.  This is exactly what happened for him many years ago when he won the PGA.

Tiger of course my first in wanting to win. Jordan maybe my second as I think it would do wonders for him and get him back to being a relevant competitor. I’d also love to see BD and/or Koepka go low then choke spectacularly and lose...lol.

Oh, I’d love for both of them to lap the field and then go at it...hear me out.

If this is the case, the loser will be devastated / pissed off to lose to their rival.

If i get to see this rivalry play out- I’ll def be jumping and yelling at the TV (I might do that anyway)

Well that would certainly be entertaining. But I’m just not a fan of either of them so I’d rather see them crash and burn. But if they were to take the lead I’d give the edge of wanting BD to take Koepka down. BK just rubs me the wrong way.

San Fran is known for drastic changes in humidity, which will prompt BD to pull out this chart below on every shot to calculate air density. I expect to see him have his caddy perform a wet bulb measurement before each shot and take air temperature readings to complete the calculations.

 

So for this reason, I hope BD blows up and shoots 19 on one hole and misses the cut.
 

I am assuming he can read this chart. He didn’t graduate though, so maybe he never took the actual hard classes at SMU
