I mean, it wasn't that long ago he won his most recent major ;-)

It would be great  if  he did win but obviously  50 yr  olds dont win often on the regular tour and so far  only  1 major  has  been won by a  50 yr  old, lol

Same dumb schtick since joining.

Meh. I still get a warm feeling thinking back to when I won the Mcowans Toffee Junior Open in 1991. I expect the positive vibes from winning a major at 50 will last Phil all the way to the Pearly Gates.

18 was reminiscent of Arnie’s Army back in the day.

Great to see that kind of excitement and fan involvement once again.

Yes....all in all a very disappointing day for Phil. You should be a mental coach. It's important for us search for negatives. Thanks.

Congrats Phil Mickelson. Who’s next? Nadal? Federer?

PGA isn’t last major any more so Nantz didn’t have a chance to tie in glory’s last shot, lol.

Is there such a thing/record as someone winning a major and a senior major in the same year or event?

There is a such thing, if Phil wins one.  The previous record holder for oldest major winner was not Champions Tour eligible at the time of his last major win (or any of his previous ones).

I have a really hard time relating to the fans all holding their phones up taking videos. Like is a crappy cell phone video some sort of keepsake? Maybe I’m too old to understand (43).

Well, these days phone videos are pretty good with the cameras on them. That said, I’m definitely not one for social media picture snapping and all that.

Yea. I started watching cooking videos on YouTube with the TV on in the background.

The tournament was over when Oosthuizen missed the eagle opportunity. Nobody was catching Phil and you knew it.

It wasn't so much about someone catching Phil as it was about the possibility of Phil blowing up.
